500 festivities yesterday to 350+ 6th graders today! Teaching kids about the dairy community is awesome!! Hopefully we made a big impact! 🤞🏻🥰 Thank you to Blackburn trucking for the ice cream! Our vet, nutritionist, and DeLaval rep were amazing! Thank you to our great employees too!

My kids definitely have their Father’s engineer brain! They like to play in the old parlor and made a trash shoot…at least they have something below to collect it! I love seeing their minds work 🥰

My Father-in-law snapped these and said it looks like it’s raining because of the dew on the corn. The windshield on the chopper was wet!

Warning! If you have a weak stomach avoid this picture! I had a calf that was born a little over a week ago. She never acted right from the start. I thought she had been stepped on. I did everything I could think of to help her. When I reached out to our vet he was in the area and stopped by to check her over. Everything sounded normal. I am not one that likes to give up but I made the decision to euthanize her because I hated to see her suffering and not living a quality life. The vet did a necropsy(autopsy) and everything looked normal until we got to the heart. She had a huge hole in her heart and was going into heart failure 😢

I think mini is going to be spoiled. Hearing the girls laugh and play with her is the best sound ever 🥰

I couldn’t pass up the sun coming through the clouds over the new barn this morning 😍 It’s a great reminder that it’s a new day be grateful!

Zsa Zsa has grown quite a bit and is happy we made it through the cold!! Her hair looks like someone permed it!! 🫶🏻

Christmas vacation time! It still means work for us but now we have our helpers back! They helped feed our 2 new heifers this morning and helped give vaccines for our dry up cows! 🤩

I had a welcome surprise this morning. This girl calved on Tuesday, went down with milk fever Wednesday. Our vet gave us some goodies to get her going. Yesterday she was laying out flat and it didn’t look good. Steve got her rolled up and this morning she is up walking around!! While she still looks rough I am happy to see her up moving! 🥳🥳

6 calves in 12 hrs!! 😳 it has been an extra busy week this week for me, so shoutout to my husband, brother and hired hand (who is pretty much family at this point!) for helping me out and picking up what I haven’t been able to get done!! I am so happy to have you guys on my team!! 🥰

Just minding my own business raking manure out of our heifer pens stall so I can scrape it…. Apparently I was too quiet 🙄🤪😳🫣

It’s a sad day when an old barn falls. This is where it all started! My Father in law said they use to milk 100 cows here hopefully the other half with the old parlor stays up! They think it was built in the 1800s
