What a September to remember!!! Ben and I took a trip to Ireland. We spent two weeks. The first week, we toured on our own seeing such amazing sights as the Hook Light House, Arklow, Waterford, Galway, Birr and Roscrea. We stopped at museums, ancient monastaries, several castles... Then the second week, we joined a group of photographers at Smithfield Castle thanks to Kelly Schneider and Kalina Schneider for arranging the 2024 Charming Castle Tour! If you have never an overseas trip with them, I would highly recommend traveling with this amazing couple. Every detail was thought out, flexibilty, coordinating the models, arranging the bus that took us around the countryside. Not to mention the ability to work with other creatives in the industry. In the week that is way too short, you become a family and life-long friends!! Over the next little bit, I'll be posting some images of the country side and of the models. Linda Carroll of LC Photography recognized for helping to advance the photography industry.

(Kennesaw, July 22, 2024)— Linda Carroll of LC Photography, LLC in Kennesaw, GA has earned the Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree will be presented to Ms. Carroll by PPA president Mark Campbell, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, API, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, to be held in Grapevine, TX, in February 2025.

The Photographic Craftsman degree is an achievement of the highest caliber. It means that Ms. Carroll has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. She has been awarded the Photographic Craftsman degree in recognition of her service to the photographic profession as an orator, author, and mentor.

Ms. Carroll’s degree—and all the expertise it requires—illustrates her accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.

“Earning the Photographic Craftsman degree has been one of my goals for the last several years. It is all about giving back to the photographic community. I want to thank all my mentors and fellow photographers that have encouraged me on this journey.”

I haven't posted much about the local magazines that I have been the cover photographer for. This is the latest cover for the North Buckhead Neighbor featuring Miss North Buckhead 'Neile Simmons. She will be competing in 2 weeks for the Miss Georgia USA pagent.

Spent the last week at MARS Photography School. Welsh led the class on Marketing. from the Golden Buzzer moments, learning about 7-30-90 sprints, making forever friends with fellow photographers. This was a great week. I also taught my first out of the state of Georgia precon Class!

Professional Headshots can be more than one picture! Lynn Taylor visited the studio for several new looks for different social media platforms. She commented as we were reviewing her images: "I was so anxious about my session. You made me feel so comfortable and at ease!"

More implementation of the Master Class training. This time - studio lights. Used a 3x4 Westcott softbox as the main (Godox ST400) and Godox AD200 with magmod and grid for the hairlight. Can't decide if I like the black and white or color. Ashley Watkins thank you!!
