VAN BROWNE CELEBRATION

We are having an open house gathering to share stories and memories and to raise a glass to Van. We will have some light snacks, beer, and wine. In Van’s honor, we will be wearing Hawaiian shirts. For those of you who can't make the trek to Seattle. We will be hosting smaller gatherings at our showcase locations this year and at the next trade show.

The outpouring of love and support from our community has been overwhelming, and we thank you with all our hearts. Many have asked about flowers or donations.

For those of you who may not know, Van volunteered at the Crisis Clinic for nearly two decades. He was a big part of their community as well.

We are heartbroken for the passing of one of our founding members.

Van Browne was an extraordinary man. He was caring and kind to a fault. He loved our industry and made life-long, deeply personal friends with the folks he called on. He made our industry a community. He often joked about being like Norm from Cheers, and in a way, he was; when he walked into any given place, nearly everyone knew him, and all were happy to see him. He had a unique gift for remembering the personal details of even casual acquaintances. He remembered birthdays and other important dates, names of pets, and names of spouses and children. He even remembered extracurricular hobbies. He had the natural gift of making people feel good about themselves. He was a unique man. His loss leaves a significant void in our community.

We are grieving. We know many of you will be too. Feel free to reach out to us if you need to commiserate.

We will announce a Van Browne Memorial Happy Hour at the next trade show or two.
