Hi Everyone! The Kent State Western Equestrian Team is doing a fundraiser to help put some money into our account to support our riders! These funds help pay our riders expenses to show such as entry fees, coaching fees, etc. If you are interested in supporting us, please reach out! We are doing a calendar sale for the month of December. You can purchase a date for the cost of that day(if you buy the tenth you pay $10). For every dollar you spend, your name will be entered into a drawing that many times to win a $100.00 Visa gift card! You can pay with cash, check, zelle, venmo, etc. Please consider supporting our team!

Just a reminder that we are having our first meeting of the school year TONIGHT. If you are unable to make it please reach out to our coach Emily for any information you might miss tonight or get added to the virtual meeting!

New rider meeting!!

In March 2 out of our 5 riders competed at the University of Findlay at our Regionals show. Madelynn Zerbe had a split in her big class but unfortunately didn’t get a call back. Mikayla Durkin placed 4th out of her class but only the top two advance to Semifinals. Congrats to our small but mighty team this year! We are looking forward to next season already!

Very proud of our little team this season! We only have four riders this year and managed to hold our own compared to the bigger schools in team rankings. Two of our riders qualified for Regionals which means we will be headed to the University of Findlay again in March to hopefully make it to Zones! Finally our senior rider was recognized at the last regular show of the season!

Our team is having a special weekend! We are done with one day of our not so normal two day show weekend. More pictures coming soon!

Four out of our five riders went to Lake Erie today for the second show of our season.
Our senior rider Mikayla placed second in the rail and 3rd in the pattern of Level 2.
One of our new members Riley placed in the morning show in her Level 1 class with a 5th.
Madelynn placed in the Rookie B division with a 3rd and a 4th.
And a special shout out to Zoe who made her debut in the Western side of the horse world today with a 5th and 6th place!

Four of our girls competed at Lake Erie College’s IHSA show yesterday and earned some points as individuals and as a team!

Madelynn Zerbe- 4th in AM Rookie B Western Horsemanship and 2nd in PM show

Just wanted to take a minute and post on here... my name is Mikayla Durkin and I will be the president of the club this year.
