Congratulations to 5th Grade Hornets! They will be graduating 🎓 today and moving on to Middle School. PTA wishes you all nothing but the best!

Today is also bittersweet as this will be PTA's last post. I (Rosie) as President, would like to take this time and tell all of our Hornet Families and Staff THANK YOU for supporting PTA throughout the years! We couldn't have made it this far without yall. The Principal (Mrs. Baumann) is starting a new parent group for next year with staff. There will be new traditions and hopefully more educational and family events. This summer, make memories, enjoy the sun and have an adventure with your family.

Today 1st and 2nd Grade had their End of Year Award Ceremonies. PTA is so proud of them for all their hard work and progress they have made this year!

Wishing all our Hornets an awesome FIELD DAY!! Thanks to all of our PTA Members and Supporters this year, we were able to purchase 1000 POPSICLES for our students and staff. Keep it COOL 😎🌞 Hornets!

PTA will deliver them to your student next week (no visitors allowed on Campus due to STAAR Testing this week).

Today 3rd - 5th will be taking the STAAR TEST this week. Haynes PTA wants to wish them the best of luck and we know they can definitely ROCK THE TEST!

Good morning Haynes families! We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Break!

The end of the school year is right around the corner and that puts our PTA at a crossroads. Here are the 2 decisions we need our PTA Members to vote on.
1. Any volunteers to become PTA PRESIDENT, SECRETARY OR TREASURER for 2022-2023 school year
OR
2. PTA is dissolved and the program will no longer be at Haynes. We need Members to help decide where the monies will be spent.

(Remember joining PTA is free, you must be a member to vote. If you don't know if you're a member, please reach out to us and we can double check for you.)

Please come to our Haynes PTA Meeting this Thurs Apr 21st at 5:30 in the Haynes Cafeteria. Your vote and ideas matter to us!

Get your Haynes Spirit Shirt while still available! All shirt sizes for Youth and Adults will be $10!

Process: come see PTA after school Mon 11th, Tues 12th and Wed 13th from 3:30-4:15 by the flag pole. Fill out the form with shirt info and PTA will deliver shirts to your student the next day in class! We will accept CASH💰 or CREDIT CARD 💳.

Sizes available are: Youth XS - XL and Adult S - 3XL.

Grand Opening of Peppermint Village was a huge success! The students really enjoyed shopping for their family and friends. Thank you Haynes Parents/Guardians for supporting your student and Haynes PTA ❤

Peppermint Village will officially OPEN tomorrow! The following classes will be shopping Monday Dec 13th:

If your student forgets to bring money on their class' shopping day, they can come on Friday 🙂 but students are NOT allowed to shop twice!

📣 Volunteers! The Holiday Store OPENS Monday for shopping! Store hours are Monday-Thurday from 9AM-1PM and Friday from 9AM-12PM. Email [email protected] if you would like to sign up as a volunteer. Please remember you must be KISD approved volunteer.

PTA could use some extra hands for decorating and running the store. If you have time in you schedule, please volunteer. Reach out on this post for more information. All volunteers must be KISD approved.

Tuesday Folder 📂 👀

December 2021 is a short month at KISD, so mark your calendars.

The count down till the Holiday Break is 15 DAYS 🙂

Haynes PTA is bring Peppermint Village to Haynes! Be on the look out for flyers and envelopes in Tuesday Folders 😊

All Students will view Peppermint Village with their class prior to shopping. Shopping week will be Mon Dec 13th - Fri Dec 17th (CASH ONLY). Each class will have a specific time and day to shop.

Clean out your closets and donate to the KISD H.A.R.P. (Homeless Awareness Response Program). Accepting sizes Youth XS - Adult 3XL. Drop off at the Activities Center on 400 Indian Trail or the Recreation Center at 307 Miller's Crossing. For more info, call 254-953-5493.

Shop dates Dec 13th - 17th. More information will be sent out in the coming weeks!

November Haynes PTA Meeting:
Thurs, Nov. 18th 2021
5:30PM @ Haynes Cafeteria (parking in the back of school).

This is a great chance for parents to voice any questions or concerns. The Principal does come to our meetings so this is an opportunity to meet her.

We will have an (on campus) Holiday Store Fundraiser coming in December! We will discuss this further at the meeting. PTA will need help decorating the classroom in the Holiday spirit and are looking for volunteers to help during the shopping hours.

Mrs. Frabel and the Young Ladies Club had an afternoon of learning table etiquette and manners. To end the lesson, PTA helped Mrs. Frabel and Mrs. Hodiyak put on an amazing Tea Party for the Young Ladies. They got to try new pastries with hot cocoa.

Chess Club had their Movie Night earlier in the month. Haynes PTA was able to provide drinks🥤and cookies 🍪 while our local Pizza Hut (Clear Creek) donated 5 FREE PIZZAS!

Today the Book Fair will be OPEN till 6PM! Support your student's love of reading and help our Haynes Library in the process.
