This black drum was trying to identify with a lookdown I reckon! We have had some really fun fishing recently, our summertime variety is snapping!

Happy New Year! Huge thanks to everyone that fished with me this year and all of our family and friends for helping make it happen! We caught some awesome fish last year and looking forward to what 2022 has to bring!

This is what we spend the time boat riding and looking for, 25-30" class rockfish are eating peanut bunker right under the boat 👌

Sure have enjoyed spending time with this little sweetheart and largely away from social media the last few months! Caroline is just over 3 months old, happy, healthy and growing fast, and I have been extremely blessed!

Calm before the storm, pretty weather and great fishing today!

After a slower start this afternoon we got one good bite and this young man managed to land his first ever red drum!

The cobias seem happy lately and a little sunshine and light wind has been much appreciated!

Fun family trip yesterday on a beautiful slick calm bay. We got lucky and landed right in a knot of old drum and caught two with one citation! Lost track of them and moved on to a great mackerel bite, then found some cooperative cobias! Once in a while I get lucky and fishing comes together fairly easy, sure do appreciate those days!

Awesome crew that has come to fish with me every year for a while now and always bring a great time. Last month was no different! They also brought light wind, sunshine and fish catching abilities as usual! We got really lucky with a school of drum to ourselves the first day and had incredible catch and release action! Pulled on some other critters along the way but drum catching both days was by far the highlight.

Last Saturday we got lucky and started off right in a great oyster toad bite! As if that wasn't enough, we also lucked into a couple citation sized sheepshead along with some smaller ones too! 🤣 Then moved on and had some great cobia fishing with one release citation and several smaller ones. Awesome day of fishing with a great crew!

Windy day off! Where to start, we have had some pretty weather and great fishing with awesome crews lately. Huge thanks to everyone who comes out to fish with me year after year through good fishing and on the slower days, y'all make it happen! We should have good fishing for most of our summertime species through the end of September and I've got open dates coming up mid August and September.

We have had some great summertime variety fishing lately! I've still got some prime open dates in July and August, half day inshore trips also available, let's go!

Quick fun fishing trip over the holiday weekend and I got schooled by as usual!

Someone please turn the fan off! 🤣Cobias, reds, black drum, spades and more! We have had some great fishing mixed with some tough weather/slower days this summer so far. Love the summertime variety but there are also days it just doesn't want to come together. Huge thanks to everyone that fishes with us and hanging in there, staying positive on the slower days too!

Thats a wrap for our spring season on the James river! We had some good shad fishing when the river cooperated this spring but stripers were the star of the show! We had some great fly and light tackle catching with fish up to 32". Shifting gears to target more rockfish in the Rappahannock the next couple weeks and then it's down to to pull on some big drum, cobia and our summertime variety!

Here is a little rainy day puppy love! Its been an exciting winter for Brandy and us! Now it's time for these pretty lil pups to go to their new homes, perfect timimg because I'm ready to get back to fishing!
