Be sure to monitor the books your kids are reading, the movies/tv shows they watch, and the music they listen to! We the parents, are their first line of defense!

We want to alert and warn parents and grandparents about this series of books “Conversations with God” being sold. Very deceptively titled. Consider the following:

👉Beware of the book "Conversations with God"! Oprah is pushing it. It is scary that someone would be bold enough to write a book from God's point of view contrary to His Word. Please send to all with kids or grandkids. If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at church, or you have neighborhood children whose parents you know, please take note of the information below and pass it along to others. James Dobson talked about this book twice this week. It is devastating. Parents, churches and Christian schools need to be aware of it. Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, "Don't judge a book by its cover or title."
The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the "voice of God". However, the "answers" that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question "Why am I a le***an?" His answer is that she was 'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and "celebrate" her differences.
Another girl poses the question "I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?" His reply is, "Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong."
Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin. His reply "I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive... There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is "'judge not lest ye be judged."
These books are false doctrine of the devil and quote in error the Word of God. These books (and others like it) are being sold to schools and children and we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.
Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We know that lions usually hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.

We prayed for Logan’s leg this morning in Kidz Church, and after we prayed he said, “hey my foot’s not hurting anymore!”

He limped into Kidz Church, but walked out! Praise God for His healing power! 🙌🏼

Tonight in Boy’s Ministries, we will be discussing Gideon!

The Angel of the Lord called Gideon, “a mighty man of valor,” but Gideon had literally just been hiding from the enemy? Gideon was surprised by this greeting as well!

God was calling to the Gideon that would be, not the one at the present moment. He sees your potential, even when you do not!

We are so excited to announce our 2023 Christmas program! We invite you and your kids to participate! There will be a quick 20-minute meeting in the sanctuary this Sunday after service for those who are interested.

This Wednesday in Boy’s Ministries, we will continue our study of David! There is so much more to the story other than his victory over Goliath!

David’s life was filled with victories and failures, but he was still a man after God’s own heart! God’s heart is that none should perish, and there is a call for us to repent! David had his failures, but he made no excuses, and repented of them all!

This Wednesday @ 7pm we will be discussing, “David the Fugitive!” See you then kids!

Attention Parents: Beginning this Sunday, our Nursery & K1 Kidz check-in stations will be in their respective areas! Thanks! 😃

Tonight in Boy’s Ministries, we will be discussing the Life of David! We are all familiar with his victory against Goliath, but what happened after that? Find out tonight @ 7pm! 📖

We are beginning a new series in K1 Kidz about the Power of God’s Word! We will be discussing the following subjects:

1. Jesus is the Word
2. Knowing the Word (Jesus)
3. The Authority He gives
4. The Importance of Memorizing the Word
5. Building a Relationship with Him
6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
7. Being a Witness for Jesus

Our children are growing in the Lord, and it is such an exciting time to be a Christian!

Hey Kidz! Don’t forget the September BGMC Challenge! Whatever student raises the most funds for missions this month will get to pie Pastor Noah!… we will probably raise a million dollars this month! 😂😂😂
