Hi ya'll! Josie, here! I am so thankful for this experience and for all you amazing humans that supported this fun albeit QUICK venture :). I regret nothing and was so proud of the incredible boards and grilled cheese that I and my amazing team created. It taught me a lot about what I want, and don't want in my life and I'm very grateful for that

Well, it’s no secret that restaurants have faced many challenges since the start of the pandemic. When we opened the doors to Board earlier this year, we, like everyone else in the industry, were hopeful and excited for the upcoming vaccine and believed that the challenges of 2020 would soon be behind us. That has not happened yet, and, in fact, in addition to the already tenuous climate, we have had to deal with new challenges such as labor shortages, limited product availability, increased food costs, and virus variants. The logistics of balancing customer expectation and satisfaction and the realities facing the service industry in the current climate has been challenging. For these reasons, we have decided to shift the focus of Board to an off-site catering business model and close the doors to our retail shop at 55 N Front St. For the next two weeks, we will be open Thursday - Saturday from 11 am - 2 pm. Our last day open in the shop will be Saturday, September 25th. Please stop by for one last grilled cheese & espresso! We are also very excited about the new business that will be opening up in our space!! More info on that soon! Thank you to everyone that supported us during this crazy time. It was so much fun to welcome you into our “house” and feed you cheese and coffee. And a special thank you to our staff, especially our Assistant Manager, Kelsey, who was so completely supportive and went above and beyond to bring this vision to fruition. Onward and upward!

It was SO much fun creating this Jurassic Park themed table for a baby shower this past weekend! There was something for all the herbivores, omnivores, and even carnivores like “Rexie.” As you can see she was quite content 😁❤️

Sadly, one of our staff members tested positive for Covid last night. They worked in the shop Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They are vaccinated, as our entire staff is, and wore a mask throughout the shift. We will be closed today to give our staff a chance to get tested and will reopen when it’s safe to do so. Stay well and we’ll see you soon.
