Our Alumni Family Gathering scheduled for Saturday, November 9th has been postponed to Saturday, January 18.

We desire to have a quality event for our alumni and we realized that an event on November 9th would not allow us to put our best foot forward as our alumni visit our campus. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you reserve the date of January 18th on your calendar for our alumni event.

Johnson University Florida is sad to announce Fay (Storm) Davis passed peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2018, at the age of 96 (just 3 months short of her 97th birthday!). Fay was known for her contagious smile and joyful spirit.

Fay spent her life working in libraries--corporate, public, and higher education. In 1975 Fay became the founding librarian at Central Florida Bible College (now Johnson University-Florida). In late August 2018, the archive room in the Johnson University-Florida Library was named the Fayetta Storm Davis Archive Room, honoring Fay for her contribution to the beginning of CFBC and the creation of their Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement historical collection.

After leaving Florida, Fay served as Interim Librarian at Kentucky Christian College as well as at Manhattan (KS) Christian College. Then she and her husband retired to Florida.

In 2006 Fay moved to Lincoln, Illinois, to be near her son. She was elated to serve as a volunteer at the Lincoln Christian University Library, spending about four years cataloging the nationally recognized Dowling Collection of Stone-Campbell Hymnals mostly from the 1800s. To all of you who met and served with Fay, you can say she was a blessing to everyone she met.

Great weekend at Johnson University Florida, on Saturday the JUFL family held a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Florida Commons and Cafe. Plans call for us to occupy the two buildings in the Spring of 2018! Pictured are Dr. Mike Chambers Chancellor of JUFL, Dr. Gary Weedman President Johnson University, Sandy Peppard Associate Dean of Students and students Charles Story and Jade Dorminey. The new Commons and Cafe mark a new era at JUFL.

The Johnson University Florida family is deeply saddened to inform our alumni of the death of Jennifer (Merkley) Holderby, class of 2004. Jennifer passed away the morning of Sunday, January 23rd. In expressing our sympathy, we are asking for prayers for Jennifer’s husband, Todd, and their two daughters, Arabella and Hallie. A GoFundMe account has been established for Todd and the girls in memory of Jennifer.
