President Joe Biden has been one of the most effective presidents of modern American history. His administration brought over $100 million of investment to Knoxville to help with affordable housing, infrastructure, mental healthcare, and more. I commend President Biden for making this difficult decision but most of all I am grateful for his lifetime of dedication to our nation.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was a stalwart defender of civil rights, education, and democracy. She was dedicated, tough, and full of energy—always seeking justice & progress. I had the honor of meeting her in DC while working on Civil Rights advocacy. My prayers go out to her family, constituents, and friends. She leaves behind a lasting legacy.

I will oppose Bill Lee's voucher scam to defund our schools.

My opponent will not. That's what this Democratic primary in District 15 is about.

As Pride Month draws to an end, I want to say I’m proud to stand with Knoxville’s LGBTQ+ community and will fight to protect their rights. Too often our state legislature uses the LGBTQ+ community as a punching bag and boogeyman. That is despicable. This state should serve and welcome EVERYONE. Love is love. We can’t let up in this fight for equality.🏳️‍🌈

The choice is clear in this race: I will proudly support & defend our public schools. My opponent will not.

Democratic House challenger Dasha Lundy gets boost from pro-voucher group Team Kid, a PAC for Tennesseans for Student Success, funded her mailers. She said she's open to exploring vouchers.

**STATEMENT**
~Voucher Lobby Money Has NO Place in This Race: My opponent in the Democratic primary is being bankrolled by dark money pro-voucher Republican PACs.~

I have been one of the strongest advocates and defenders of Public Schools in the legislature. During the Governor’s attempt to defund our schools through vouchers, I stood up to the big money voucher lobby and stopped the bill from passing. Now, in retaliation, these same pro-voucher, pro-charter lobbyists are bankrolling my opponent’s campaign.

Despite having done next to zero campaigning of her own, my opponent has been supported by mailers and digital advertisements from both the Team Kid PAC and Tennesseans for Student Success which advocates for vouchers and other efforts to defund public schools. Why these organizations, funded almost entirely by Republicans, want to get involved in her campaign seems clear–I will fight against vouchers and she will support them.

I call on my opponent to vocally denounce the support of these dark money PACs funded by Republicans. They have no place in a Democratic Primary.

I’m proud to have the endorsement of Tennessee Advocates for Planned Parenthood. My opponent in the primary didn’t even take time to fill out their questionnaire. I’ll always stand up for reproductive rights in Tennessee. Women’s rights are human rights.
