I’m so excited to share this bespoke bomber jacket! This was a fun project because my client let me pick for him - I knew the teal & grey herringbone wool would complement his undertones and features, and this sleek style shows off his fit physique.
All the feels when you preserve AND love on a vintage garment so it can re-enter the sphere of being worn, for clothing exists to be worn - to be our armor or bely our romantic nature. ♥️
Omg Haley is the sweetest client ever and doesn’t she look stunning!! We swapped bust cups, cinched the waist to underarm, and closed up the side slit a bit for additional modesty. Simply stunning! ♥️
I’m most pleased this dress has pockets deep enough to stash a book! 📖 🤓

One of my favorite films is Ukrainian film The Cranes Are Flying (1957) so when I saw these embroidered crane panels I snatched them up! I kept the design simple to showcase the embroidery in its fullness, and will wear this over a simple black slip for modesty.🐦⬛ Happy Friday! ✂️
I cannot wait to reveal this bespoke bomber jacket in yummy wool herringbone from the UK! Reach out today for your fall wardrobe needs! 🍁 ✂️

This alteration was so satisfying! My client found a fabulous pink dress from Anthropologie but the proportions weren’t quite right. We ended up removing the entire smocked waist panel to create an easy and breezy pullover dress while eliminating the need for a hem. 😎
Are there clothes in your closet that aren’t quite right? I’d love to help! 🪡🧵🫶🏻

Being the seamstress for this wedding was so much fun! In addition to alterations on the gown, I also altered the bridesmaid’s dresses, mother and aunt of the groom’s dresses, expanded a vest, AND made bow ties for the groomsmen. Finally, I pressed & prepped every garment for the big day!! ❤️
I’d love to work with you for your special day. I’m currently booking for fall so reach out today!! 🪡✂️🧵
Creating this gown with my client was such a pleasure! She wanted “Stevie Nicks meets glamour” for her beach nuptials so I opted for a sturdy but drapey viscose satin with metallic chiffon underskirt + velvet silk accents. Simply stunning! ❤️🧵🪡
I’m enjoying some much needed rest after a busy few weeks but can’t stop thinking about these adorable bow ties! In addition to providing alteration services to the entire wedding party, I made these bow ties for the groomsmen! Such a fun way to personalize the decor! 🧵🪡❤️

Have a stack of wrinkled clothes hanging in your closet? Never fear! 👔
Here are my top SIX tips for wrinkle-free pressing:
1. Most garments need less heat and more steam, so choose a setting based on the heat and steam produced. To test the heat, iron a small section on the inside of the garment. If you notice a smell or the fabric looks laminated, reduce the heat. If it takes longer than 3 seconds to remove wrinkles, increase the heat. 🔥
2. Use a press cloth! A silk organza press cloth absorbs heat & moisture and circulates the two quickly, preventing any scorching or shine. Most natural fibers can handle a lot of heat & moisture indirectly so be sure to use a press cloth on cotton, wool, linen and silk garments. 🐐
3. Focus on large pieces first like the back of a shirt or the legs of pants. This will allow you to see smaller wrinkles more easily. Once you’ve pressed the large areas, allow the garment to cool and rest before starting on details. 👖
4. Let the iron do the work for you! An effective iron should be heavy and produce plenty of steam. This allows you to press by placing the iron and then initiating steam. Remember that movement causes friction and friction can disrupt the weave of the fabric. 💨
5. Focus on areas that will be seen. Creasing will naturally occur as we move in our clothing so focus your attention (and the heat) on button plackets, major seams, pleats or darts, collars, sleeve and pant creases, and other small details. Remember to press pocket bags too!🧵
6. Press buttons and other hardware from the wrong side. Most buttons and zippers are plastic these days and will melt under high heat. Metal components can become very hot and burn you. Always press these areas from the wrong side of the garment. ✂️
Have you tried any of these tips? Do you have a fave tip of your own? I’d love to hear from you below! 👇🏻
I’m so excited to share this unique alternation for 8th grade prom! I took about 4” off the hem, rerouted the straps to increase functionality, and added a back strap for additional support. Some bust cups and a good press, and this bold number was good to go! 💕
Prom season may be ending, but it’s a great time to start scheming for fall! Currently booking for June. 🧵🪡
So excited to share this! I altered Cheryl’s bridal gown AND made five of the most adorable flower girl dresses for the wedding. This blended family melts my heart. 💜🪡🧵✂️💜
I have no words for how humbling & amazing this project has been. It’s been an honor to work with Patricia to create a truly unique dress that incorporates her heritage. She’s being honored with the Spirit of East Tennessee award and her dedication to Knoxville is awe-inspiring! 🥰
I’m so proud of this alteration! RTW clothing isn’t made to accommodate different body proportions so I took this entire dress apart to raise the waistline, add a waistline seam in the back, slim the bodice and then let out the hips. I also removed the zipper which was useless as the fabric allows her to pull this on overhead. ✂️
With pronounced proportions, fitting each unit separately is the way to go. I’m so pleased my client is happy with the final result! 🧵
“She received so many compliments on how the dress fit her perfectly and looked so nice so thank you again so much!! We will definitely use you again and recommend you!”
I am so thankful for my clients and am so happy when they’re pleased with my work. 💜 This sweet gal is stunning in this navy gown!
I’m loving all of the sequins & velvet for prom season! This cutie has prom AND graduation coming up and this royal blue dress suits her perfectly! 🪡✂️🧵
Another stunning prom gown in wild! I took up the straps and stitched the center front to increase modesty. So gorgeous! 🪡🧵✂️
Another beauty is ready for prom! I absolutely loved working with K. We discussed how to alter a few other dresses to suit her athletic build but landed on this sequin dress. I added a thigh slit and strung some sequins to patch a few bald spots on the velvet. STUNNING!
Prom szn is upon us! DM today to schedule!
I adore wool herringbone but this one chosen for Jim LaPinska is beyond gorgeous. It maintains its weave when exposed to water and extreme heat, and the colors are breathtaking! 🐑✂️🪡
