RELIGION & POLITICS
The Bible teaches that a fool answers a matter before he hears it (get the facts)
Proverbs 18:13
New Living Translation
Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolishI
So: if you are getting your info from the national media you should consider your source. Most of the media has a leftist agenda. No longer is it just a liberal agenda but an evil demonic one. Find a Godly news source.
Many historically vote their pocketbook. Of course everyone wants a good economy so they can fulfill the American dream.
But there are much greater issues than the economy short term. The best way to reach a great economy is to seek to do things in line with God’s word.
That means to do things God’s way. Secondly, He says if you bless Israel, you will be blessed. That’s two prerequisites to prosperity that many people disregard going in.
Long gone are the days that we could sit down with both sides and laugh after an election whether your candidate won or lost. There is too much at stake.
It’s no longer about a candidate but their policies. In the present 2 cases we can go on THEIR RECORD. Usually we have to trust what they say they’re going to do and then they don’t do it.
In days gone by you could count on both candidates loving American enough to at least be trying to do good by its citizens.
That is no longer the case. Carrier politicians (is the present model) with greedy plans to prosper themselves even after they leave office. (TERM LIMITS!!!)
Term limits would surely deter this idea in most lower levels of office. Many a good man started out right and were poisoned by what he could do for personal gain at the expense of others.
On the presidential level it’s a little different. They walk softly and carry a big stick for the first four years and then start striking with it in their second term after they’ve already been re-elected and we can’t stop them.
Again: In the present situation we have TRACK RECORD to go on. Gather THE FACTS on the candidates through accurate sources and vote your Godly conscience.
Q: Are you better off now than you were four years ago?
A: If so, then vote that way.
Q: Were you were better off before the present administration when D. T. was president?
A: If so, then vote that way. But be sure and vote. If you don’t vote, you will stand before God for voting wrong.
