Reactive neuromuscular training is a form of external cueing used to increase the facilitation or engagement of a muscle or group of muscles.
In this scenario we are using a band to pull the knee inwards which will help increase activation of the outer leg muscles like the lateral quadriceps & glutes.
The goal is to keep the knee in alignment with the second and third toe as you perform the exercise.

🔥🧊 Should You Use Ice or Heat Before Physical Therapy? 🧊🔥
Getting ready for a physical therapy session and unsure whether to use ice or heat? Here’s a quick guide to help you prepare:
Do Use HEAT Before Physical Therapy 🔥
Unless...you have a new injury with swelling or inflammation. Then skip the heat and consult your therapist.
Do Not Use Ice Before Physical Therapy 🧊
Why? Because ice is better suited for post-therapy to reduce any inflammation or pain that might arise from your session.
💡 Remember: Always follow the advice of your physical therapist for the best results tailored to your specific needs.

‼️ Improved strength using little or no weight, at a rate comparable to a high-intensity workout

Are muscle cramps cramping your style? 😣
Here are some simple and effective tips to help you get relief:
1️⃣Stay Hydrated 💧
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Get a blood test, from your primary care physician to rule out electrolyte deficiencies.
2️⃣Squeeze the Opposite Muscle
Squeezing the opposite muscle on the other side of the joint will relax the cramping tissue temporarily through a method called reciprocal inhibition.
3️⃣Lengthen the tissue more frequently
Gentle stretching can help relax the muscle and relieve the cramp. Try stretching the affected area slowly and gently.
Stay Active & avoid resting too long to eliminate the cramping fully!🏃♂️
🙌 What is Soft Tissue Mobilization?
A form of manual physical therapy where your licensed PT uses hands-on techniques on your muscles, ligaments, and fascia to break adhesions and optimize your muscle function.

🦵Banded side stepping is an excellent exercise for strengthening the glutes, particularly the gluteus medius, which plays a key role in stabilizing the pelvis and maintaining proper knee alignment. Here’s a list of tips for proper form:
➡️Stay Low: Keep a slight bend in your knees and stay in a semi-squat position throughout the exercise to maximize glute engagement.
➡️Control Your Steps: Avoid rushing through the movements. Each step should be deliberate and controlled to maintain constant tension in the band.
➡️Keep Your Feet Parallel: Ensure your feet stay parallel to each other and avoid turning your toes outwards.
➡️Avoid Excessive Leaning: Keep your upper body stable and avoid leaning excessively to the side. The movement should come from your hips and glutes.
