Once we start losing strength in our legs we compensate by not controlling the descent and using momentum and/or our arms to help push our weak body back up.

Why waste $$$ on expensive sleds and straps….DIY for around $20!

Tire shops are happy to give you tires for FREE….Pick one with a diameter that supports your weights/load. Grab a tow strap (Haul Master , 2 inch x 20 feet with 2800 lb working load limit for $12.99) bolt, washers and nuts from .

Drill hole in center of tire. Bolt with nut and washer on outside. Washer and 2 bolts on inside. Tighten nuts. Start pulling…forward, backwards, lateral….

It’s an excellent posterior chain and core exercise that can be performed with a barbell, kettlebells, sandbag, etc....

Don’t have these? Get creative with what you have around the house...liquid laundry detergent bottles, pet food/kitty litter, milk crate/box/gym bag...

Increase difficulty with:
• progressive load
• standing on unstable surface (foam pad, BOSU ball, dynadisc, ...
• perform unilateral (single leg)

Conditioning doesn’t need to be boring or indoors. Give rucking a try and get outside and get moving.

Minimal equipment required...just a pack you can put stuff in for added weight. 28 # setup here. Straps are rolled and tucked so I’m not all 8up. Army veterans know what I mean.

The Floor is NOT level.

Garage floors typically slant downward towards the door for drainage. If you setup your squat stands, rack or lifting platform midway down the garage on the side you may be asking for trouble. You’ll be so excited you have a place to lift that you don’t notice the 1/4inch+ difference between the 2 sides....but your body will as you increase the weight. Hello muscle strain🤦🏻‍♂️

Use a level. Adjust accordingly. Make sure it’s right before you start.
