Let’s be honest, Right now, most of the lovely people in my real estate ecosystem, and perhaps this is you too… are struggling with challenges.
🎶 I'm reminded of Bob Dylan's song “Times, They are a Changin”. In this song he went on to say“you better start swimming or you’ll sink like a stone” …
If there was ever a time where that song felt appropriate, it’s now.
But here’s something interesting...Bob Dylan wrote that in late 1963 and it hit the airwaves in 1964 when there was so much unrest the average person thought the world was coming to an end.
🥁 John F Kennedy had just been assassinated
🥁 The Civil Rights movement was in full swing with deaths in Mississippi
🥁 The Vietnam War was brewing; and
🥁 The Beatles hit the music scene and changed everything
What’s my point?
Things change, industries change, yet we ARE resilient people; one that has seen hard times before and we know how to overcome a challenge.
We lift our heads, we pray, we help each other and we help ourselves… creating ourselves anew if we have to.
I want you to know that even in uncertainty with commissions, and who’s paying for what, and should I get a J-O-B or stay the course, you ARE going to be okay.
It’s true, it may be time for you to look at other opportunities
It might also be time for you to double down and re commit.
As we all individually take stock, I have something that can help. Later this month I’ll be doing a LIVE Zoom call just to talk it out. Share some options of what you might want to do next. Stay tuned…..

I shared with you last week the benefits, many unexpected gifts they were, of taking a sabbatical...

Here are some ways you can do this too.. it's more simple than you think...

🏖️Every Friday night choose to have a family or friend night and turn your phone off for 24 hours.
🏖️ Once a month take a 3 day weekend to read, pray, and journal.
🏖️ Once a quarter create space for a business planning retreat that might be 3 or 4 days of uninterrupted time to focus on your next steps in business.
🏖️ And then of course once a year unplug for 3 to 4 weeks to unplug, live and listen.

Then reap the beautiful benefits.....

Do you ever feel like you need a sabbatical?

Over the last 3 weeks I was able to do that in the UK with my sister…

Those 3 weeks totally unplugging allowed me to…..

✨ reconnect with her (which i don’t think we’ve ever done)
✨ listen to God and what he was prompting me to do in life and business
✨ pick up holy spirit gifts everyday along the way
✨ come back to my business completely renewed and on fire

The root of the word sabbatical is rest and over the years. I’ve discovered that that rest is crucial to a productive life and good health.

We have such high goals for our businesses…

🧩 Are you a perfectionist?
A workaholic?
And then something happens, we get stuck…
What it boils down to is this….
Life has happened
Several things have hit you all at once

🧩 I believe we all go through it
One moment we are on fire
We feel amazing
And then opposition comes

🧩 Here’s the thing, we are called to take a breath, brush off, rise up and say… YES!
I can handle the opposition
I can release myself from these goals and having to be perfect in every moment
And that I can give myself grace...

🧩 We are all being called to do business differently

This is the change we need from what we have seen for so many years...

🌾 you are not a one dimensional being

🌾 you are connected to a creator that speaks to you
to you ALL THE TIME

🌾 you just have to decide when and how much
you are going to listen

Instead of scrambling to close every deal myself, I approached the boss and said,

“I’m building a team. Give me the struggling people– the ones who’ve lost their spark. Let me empower them to succeed.”

And it worked…

I used to hustle to build my business the “traditional” way.

Constant networking, chasing leads, feeling like I was always one step behind. I’d pray for guidance, but mostly, I was trying to make things happen through my own sheer effort.

One day, completely out of the blue, I heard God speak clearly:

“You don’t have to do this alone…leverage yourself and that will allow you to live a life as a shining example to others.”

I had no idea what that meant for my business, but a boldness came over me.

God showed me that true success wasn’t about grinding harder.

It was about partnering with Him;

following His guidance (even when it seemed unconventional),

and generously sharing my knowledge to lift others up.

When you partner with God in business:

✨ You align with your Highest Calling;

✨. The call of your greatest gifts;

✨ and realize the fruits of success are way more wildly
abundant than you ever thought possible....

all while .....

🌄 being in the pursuit of the greater good;
🌄 honoring God to create supernatural feats; and
🌄 experiencing unfathomable success.
