The Town of Carolina Beach and private property owners have approved Amazon’s production Summer I Turned Pretty to use an extensive area of the Boardwalk business district to film on Monday, August 15th and Monday, August 22nd. Please note, many businesses including the amusement rides, will have adjusted hours or be closed for those days. Please call ahead or check online for adjusted hours.

Please use caution and allow for extra time if traveling near the boardwalk area on these days.

Hello,

Overnight, a Tropical Storm formed with potential impacts for Kure Beach:

1. Tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning area along the northeastern coast of South Carolina this morning and will spread

northeastward within the warning area along the North Carolina coast this afternoon into Sunday. Winds are expected to arrive between 8am-2pm.

2. Areas of heavy rainfall may result in localized flash flooding across portions of coastal South and North Carolina through Sunday morning. We could potentially see 3-4 inches of rain.

3.) If you experience a temporary power outage or outage for extended period of time, please limit water usage to reduce the load on the Towns sewer system

4.) Please do not put trash cans out by the road until as late as possible tomorrow evening to reduce trash getting flown around.

5.) If visiting the beach, use caution and do not enter the water until the dangerous conditions improve.

Filming for the TV series "The Summer I Turned Pretty" will take place on Dow Road on Thursday, September 9th between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. After completing their work on Dow Road, the crew will relocate to Fort Fisher Boulevard South/Battle Acre Road and continue throughout the rest of the day....

FORT FISHER SUMMER CONCERT SERIES CONTINUES FRIDAY
