Welcome to this site featuring our vacation home just 2 blocks from the beach in lovely Kure Beach, NC. We fell in love with this little community oriented beach during the pandemic and decided to make a permanent investment there. The house is nestled between two other similar festively beach colored homes on a dead end road with very little traffic. There is a mix of rental properties as well as locals on our little block and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The house is a 4-bedroom, 4 bath three story home with views of the ocean from the upper decks. The short 2-3 minute walk to the public entrance of the beach makes it easy to get in quality beach time. Unlike some beaches, it is not often overcrowded and it is easy to get a spot with distance from other beachgoers. There are lots of things to do in the area. Beach activities, of course, as well as fishing charters, island tours, the Fort Fisher Aquarium and Beach. The area is just a short 30 minute drive to Wilmington, NC, which is a college town and has loads of restaurants and indoor activities in case of inclement weather. For those of you into walking, there is a lovely Civil War Trail situated behind the house complete with the local "pet" alligator Wally in the retention pond. Don't get too close, he's fast and there are pretty steep fines for messing with the wildlife 🙂.
