Thank you to all who participated in Where's Waldo Local during the month of July. We had over 100 people stop in the store for passports and a list of businesses where Waldo was hiding in La Canada Flintridge. We had a party on Saturday, August 3, for all participants hosted by Waldo's friend Wenda, who led activities including in-store scavenger hunts, Waldo speed searches, word games and more. She also announced the big winners!
A big shout out to Cakery Bakery and Round Table Pizza for contributing cupcakes and pizza to the party! And also to all the other local businesses that were part of the search, including Berge's Sandwiches

Today's the last day to find Waldo in 25 La Canada Flintridge businesses. In order to be entered into a drawing to win Waldo books, turn your stamped passport (you need to have 20 stamps for the drawing) in to Flintridge Bookstore any time up to our celebration on Saturday, from 11 - noon. But everyone is welcome to come to the party. We'll have more Waldo games, a Waldo character appearance, and pizza and cupcakes!

These are the prize books we'll be awarding at our Where's Waldo Local bash on Saturday, August 3, from 11:00 AM - noon. Tracy, one of our booksellers (Dobby, as well) wants to make sure you know about these give-aways, and she encourages all who participated in the month long hunt to attend the party and join in more Waldo activities. Plus cupcakes and pizza!

Another successful weekend event. This past Sunday, we had an author panel with novelists DC Frost (A Punishing Breed), Kate Gale (Under a Neon Sun), and EP Tuazon (A Professional Lola), moderated by NPR's Saul Gonzalez. Signed copies of their books are available at the bookstore.
