Longtime sports photographer Brad Mangin teams up with veteran radio host and sportswriter Brian Murphy and Buster Posey himself in a visual celebration of Buster Posey’s twelve seasons with the San Francisco Giants.

Brian Murphy wrote the introduction and teammates, managers, and other sports luminaries tell the story of Buster’s illustrious career, from the heartfelt perspective of those who know him the best. You don’t want to miss this!

As we emerge from a period of forced introversion, “The Boys” provides the perfect antidote. For anyone who now feels anxious about leaving the house or traveling abroad or re-entering the world, you will find a kindred spirit in Ethan Fawcett. This is a delicious read filled with humor and surprise for readers of Anne Tyler and Kevin Wilson.

Irving Penn at the de Young Museum

With a career spanning seven decades, Irving Penn was one of the 20th century’s preeminent photographers. Penn is best known for his work at Vogue magazine, where he revolutionized and modernized fashion photography, emphasizing models’ characters through their expressions and gestures. His penetrating portraits reveal Penn’s talent for observing human attitude. His graphic intelligence and ability to shape volumes with light are evident in his studies of nudes and in still life, a genre he favored throughout his career.

Included in the de Young exhibition is a special section of photographs from San Francisco’s 1967 Summer of Love, featuring Haight-Ashbury hippies and legendary local rock bands.
