Sweet Thursday Author Series presents:
Katie Hafner: The Boys
Thursday May 16, 2024 - 7:00pm
Don Tatzin Community Hall
Lafayette Library and Learning Center
“The Boys” begins with a letter from a bike touring company, asking the main character not to sign up for another trip Why? Katie Hafner’s taut and utterly delightful debut is a novel of multitudes. It is character study, social commentary on pandemic isolation and an incredible journey back to center.
As we emerge from a period of forced introversion, “The Boys” provides the perfect antidote. For anyone who now feels anxious about leaving the house or traveling abroad or re-entering the world, you will find a kindred spirit in Ethan Fawcett. This is a delicious read filled with humor and surprise for readers of Anne Tyler and Kevin Wilson.
