I just bought something on Facebook Marketplace from my cousin who lives 600 miles away.

The internet is wild.

Elderly customer of ours told me a story about how she was scammed…

Scammers got her for 10k impersonating an attorney representing a family member.

Got me thinking.

I feel as though 100+ people are trying to scam me PER DAY on average.

I don’t think much of it because I’m young, aware and always in the lookout for that type of activity.

But our elderly aren’t….

I hadn’t put much thought into it until i heard this detailed story just how much of a terrible impact scamming is having on our older generation.

Moral of the story, help as many of our elders as you can to stop them from being a victim like this poor person.

Up to the younger people, who understand technology and what to look out for to help unsuspecting people who didn’t believe their neighbors were capable of such scam mastery when they were growing up.
