Today our law firm had two very important victories. In our first case, our detained client was able to win his Cancellation of Removal and maintain his permanent lawful status. He will soon return to his family who awaits his return home. In our second case, we were able to win an asylum case for our client from Guatemala, who suffered severe persecution. She will be able to remain in the U.S. where our client and her kids will be safe from further harm.

Hoy nuestra firma de abogados tuvo dos victorias muy importantes. En nuestro primer caso, nuestro cliente detenido pudo ganar su cancelación de deportación y mantener su estatus legal permanente. Pronto regresará con su familia que espera su regreso a casa. En nuestro segundo caso, pudimos ganar un caso de asilo para nuestro cliente de Guatemala, quien sufrió una severa persecución. Ella podrá permanecer en los EE. UU., donde nuestro cliente y sus hijos estarán a salvo de más daños.

After a long trial today, our client is safe from an impending deportation. Most importantly he gets the protection from the government that he deserves.

With our client and his family at the Miami Immigration Court, after being undocumented since 1999, our client was finally able to win his 42B Cancellation of Removal case!!! We are so happy for this wonderful family who will be able to remain together in the U.S.

Great way to start our week with a grant of Asylum & Withholding of removal for our client and her three children.

Yesterday our client who was stuck in Mexico due to the MPP program, was granted political Asylum for being persecuted in Nicaragua, his country of origin. He will now be able to enter the United States, and eventually become a Lawful Permanent Resident of this wonderful country. Another win for Alonso and Hernandez Law!

Today our client was granted a bond by the immigration judge, and he will be released from custody, and will be able to go back to his family after several weeks in an immigration detention facility.

Hoy, el juez de inmigración le otorgó una fianza a nuestro cliente, y será liberado de la custodia para poder regresar con su familia después de varias semanas en un centro de detención de inmigración.

This week one of our clients finally became a U.S citizen, after he got his Resident card taken away (erroneously by CPB). We were able to get this back from him, and terminate his removal proceedings with the immigration court. We went forward with an application for naturalization and alas! an approval. We are happy for him and his family, and continue to wish him great success in his future endeavors.

Esta semana, uno de nuestros clientes finalmente se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense, luego de que CPB le quitó su tarjeta de residente (erróneamente). Pudimos recuperar esto y cerrar su proceso de deportación con la corte de inmigración. Seguimos adelante con una solicitud de naturalización y finalmente pudo convertirse en ciudadano. Estamos felices por él y su familia, y continuamos deseándole mucho éxito en sus proyectos futuros.

Great experience being part of AILA National Action Day and meeting with lawmakers to advocate for important immigration issues

Our client was finally able to obtain his green card after living undocumented for decades. We are happy to have been able to reunite this family after his prolonged detention in an ICE facility. This was by far one of our toughest cases but also one of the most rewarding for us as attorneys and for this wonderful family.
