Hello again Station Friends! We want to thank you for your "likes" and comments on our previous post. We would, of course, LOVE to reopen a new restaurant, especially after seeing your loving comments about our food and Family. ???? But how do we do that after losing EVERYTHING! We are asking EVERYONE that has read that post to go back and share it to your "feed", comment and share your ideas of how to proceed to get Lancaster City to make responsible. So far we have heard nothing from the City. Lancaster City Alliance CWS - Lancaster Immigration & Refugee Program Taste the World (Lancaster, Pa.)
Hello Friends of the Kabab Station. Please read to the end and share with everyone on your page to help us make our voices heard! Thank you!
Shamefully, we lost our business due to the ongoing neglect of the owner AND the City of Lancaster.
We lost our business because the City condemned the building...the same City that should have been inspecting it for the 20+ years that Eli owned the property. If they had, and the building was brought up to code every year we would still be in business. The only reason that all of this happened is because, upon our first restaurant inspection, we pointed out things that were not quite right. This led to the Inspector going into the basement of the building and seeing the disaster that was down there. This led nowhere and nobody paid attention to us. It was not until after the electric and sewer systems failed 2 years LATER that that the City got involved! I am not sure that the public is even aware of how much danger that building poses and for how long it was neglected. How did Eli own this building without having any kind of insurance? We lost so much over the past 3 years! 3 years that the City gave Eli a deadline of 3 months to begin to bring things up to code. That wasn't met and he was given more time and more time and more time until 3 years had gone by. Now he walks away scot-free owing us our security deposit and 1 month’s rent, compensation for loss of income, loss of our equipment and so much more. We lost our business, our good name in the community, the opportunity to grow and we are hurting because of it.
Lancaster City NEEDS to answer our questions. Why did Lancaster City allow Eli to run businesses without having the insurance? Why did Lancaster City not enforce inspections to prevent the condemnation years ago? Why did Lancaster City tell us that it would only take 3 months for us to reopen yet Eli was allowed to drag it out for 3 years?
A guardian angel started a Go Fund Me account to raise the money to retain a lawyer with the firm Blakinger, Thomas. She assured us that she will work with us to the end. After speaking with Eli, she ended communication with us. Shamefully, by her not returning our calls and emails, she allowed Eli to succeed in moving on without being held responsible, as she promised to do.
We tried to remain silent. We tried to hold out hope that everything we were told would happen. But now what to do? Who will help us regain what we lost? Who will be brave enough to be our voice? Who will help us find justice? Where is the American Dream? Where is the democracy?
Amazing to think, we opened in June of 2019, forced to close due to the owners complete neglect of his building in June 2021 and here we are in June 2022 and still not one thing has been done. Oh, except for the barrage of lies that "work will begin in 2 weeks", a lament that we heard constantly for the past year which kept us hopeful and hanging on, the verbal insults (as recently as yesterday where he called us "schmucks") and his total dismissal of our loss of income, destruction of our reputation, not to mention the countless missed opportunities over the past years to grow our name and serve the people of Lancaster and surrounding states the BEST Persian food around! He is willing to give us one month's free rent to compensate for the loss of potential thousands of dollars in income.

Condemnation of Lancaster city building frustrates tenants, property owner [Lancaster Watchdog] When the building where Kabab Station leased space was condemned in early June, the restaurant posted a Facebook message saying it hoped to serve customers again “VERY SOON” at the
If you open a business in this country, the LAW mandates that you must have INSURANCE. Yet, when something devastating happens that is beyond your control, and you lose your business, suddenly there is no LAW to protect you and the INSURANCE finds the loophole to get out of covering you!! Maybe I am an ignorant fool, but I had faith in our systems that we would be protected. Not anymore.
Hello Station Friends! We hope you are enjoying your summer so far and we are very sorry that we can't be a part of the wonderful things Lancaster City has planned this year!! We just wanted to take a minute to say that we miss seeing you at the Station, that we are busy making plans for the future and to remind everyone that we DID NOT GO OUT OF BUSINESS! We were forced to close due to serious structural and electrical issues with the building leading to the condemnation of the building in which we rent our space! Because of YOU we survived and thrived throughout all of last year and we will be back better than ever!! Take care of yourselves and each other! We will see you again soon!
Today marks our second anniversary! This is not the way we had planned to celebrate it, but we look forward to seeing you all again soon. We thank you all for making the past 2 years such an exciting success!!!
Dearest Station Friends, it is with very heavy hearts that we must announce that we will be closed until further notice. Due to years of neglect, the City Of Lancaster has deemed the building to be structurally unsound and has condemned the entire building. Trust us, this is not the end of the Kabab Station, merely a new beginning on the horizon. We had a dream and all of you AMAZING people helped us to realize that dream...we are beyond grateful to all of you!! We will keep you updated and as always, we look forward to serving you again VERY SOON!!
Hello Station Friends! Due to an electrical problem in the building we will be closed until the owner gets the situation resolved. We are not sure when we will be able to reopen but we look forward to seeing you and serving you again VERY soon!! Thank you all for your constant support!!
