Officer Burke Jevon Rhoads #574, who served with the Nicholasville, Kentucky Police Department.

Police Officer Burke Rhoads was killed in a vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Rogers Road, in Garrard County, KY, at approximately 7:00 a.m., on March 11, 2015.

He was en route to Eastern Kentucky University to take a training course when another vehicle turned in front of his patrol car. The collision spun the patrol car around into oncoming traffic, where it was struck a second time from the rear.

Officer Rhoads was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Officer Rhoads was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving our nation for 7 years. He then served with the Nicholasville Police Department, KY, for seven years. He left behind a family who loves him and misses him dearly.

We honor you, Sir. We will never forget your dedicated service to our nation and to the community of Nicholasville, Jessamine County Kentucky.
Our prayers are with his family today as they miss him dearly. 🙏

Cadet Brayden Boone of Rockingham County High School has been awarded the AFJROTC J-100 Scholarship. He has earned a full scholarship to the school of his choice for his hard work displayed over his tenure in Rockingham County HS, NC-961 RCHS AFJROTC. Congratulations!!
