Artist John Mastrogiacomo recounts why he believes the Las Vegas Shutdown series will be a group of photos that stands the test of time, "It’s something that just won't happen again. When [Las Vegas] closed, they brought up the last time casinos closed and it was when Kennedy was assassinated. So, if something were to happen 50 years from now, they'll go, “well, last time that happened was here.” Then they'll pull out these pictures."

Welcome to the Carnevale Gallery.
Located in Las Vegas, NV, the gallery was established in 2015 and is domiciled at the Palace Tower inside Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino. Founded by Tony Carnevale, the gallery is committed toward display and sales of collectible fine art photography.
Carnevale Gallery is a place to encounter the most innovative emerging artists as well as new work by established masters. The gallery rotates exhibits on a regular basis and maintains featured artist works on display for purchase.
The gallery began with Carnevale's infatuation toward reportage photography and photo journalism. "As a child I was fascinated with early pioneers in photo journalism; in particular, American Civil War photography. The stories early pioneers such as Mathew Brady were able to translate were mesmerizing to me and they were real. Split second moments captured in black & white and made available for the public to interpret. Lewis Hine, another pioneer who captivated my attention at an early age. Contributing toward social reform with respect to child labor laws as well as documenting the construction of one of the greatest man-made structures in the world, the Empire State Building; Hine was able to engage the viewer in such a way one's emotions were swept right into the photograph as if you were there yourself!"
Tony Carnevale has stated "the Carnevale Gallery will continue to seek relevant artists and unique pieces of fine art photography to make available for our collectors. The medium of fine art photography continues to emerge as an art form and new artists are continuously puhsing boundaries like never before. It is an exciting time for fine art photography!
