By Your Side offers birth and postnatal doula support. Contact me today to discuss your options!
Hiya! Are you getting ready to embark on the most epic journey of your life—parenthood? It’s going to be a wild ride, but guess what? You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help! As a doula based in Las Vegas, I offer both birth and postpartum support that’s as unique as you are!
First things first, let’s talk about birth support. Think of me as your personal cheerleader, advocate, and coach all rolled into one. I’ll be by your side to offer pain management techniques, emotional support, and all the encouragement you need to bring your little one into the world. Whether you’re planning a home birth, birth center, hospital birth or a Beyoncé-style production (hey, it’s Vegas!), I’m here to make sure your birth experience is as smooth and positive as possible.
Now, let’s not forget about the postpartum period—AKA the “What on Earth Do I Do Now?” phase. This is where I really shine! I’ll be there to help you navigate the new and exciting challenges of parenthood, from breastfeeding tips to baby-soothing tricks that are more effective than a lullaby from Snoop Dogg. Plus, I’ll make sure you’re taking care of YOU, too. Because let’s face it, you can’t pour from an empty cup (or an empty coffee pot, and trust me, you’ll need coffee).
So, if you’re in Las Vegas and looking for a doula who is confident, nurturing, and ready to support you through every step of this incredible journey, look no further! Let’s make your parenting debut one to remember. Give me a shout, and let’s chat about how I can support you.
✨Babywearing✨ Let’s chat about it! If you swipe left in the photos, you’ll see the TICKS acronym with the definition!
I baby-wear often in my doula role and post photos, so today I thought we should talk about safe baby wearing! When purchasing a wrap or soft structured carrier, you want to make sure that your baby will be safe from positional asphyxiation and have proper hip placement. TICKS is a fantastic guideline when wearing your baby on your front!
T- tight
I- In view
C- close enough to kiss
K- keep chin off chest
S- supported back
Whenever I get a new carrier that I may not be familiar with, I test them out with one of my daughter’s dolls until I feel comfortable putting a real baby in it. Often times I see new parents wearing babies very low or tilted to the side; both are dangerous but especially for newborns. If you aren’t sure about using your new wrap, reach out to your local doula/mom community. There are many groups who help with baby wearing and allow you to try carriers on to see if the fit is right!
As usual, I’m happy to answer questions in the comments, DM’s or via email 😊
It’s nap time for this little love! I’ve had the privilege of helping her family out since she was born 13ish weeks ago and it has been such a pleasure. While I’m looking forward to supporting new families in Las Vegas, I’m certainly going to miss my clients here!

Funny Green Soup Recipe 🥣
My friend makes this soup for her family and I decided to give it a go since I had some zucchini that needed to be used up! This soup is creamy and silky smooth once blended; we serve ours with homemade cheesy garlic bread and they’re a perfect pair 🤗

Calling all pregnant people in Las Vegas! We’ve finalized our move date and my books are now open for Mid-May through August 😊 I come with references and a plethora of knowledge on pregnancy, birth, postpartum and newborn care. Please send me an email or drop a message in my DM’s if you’re interested in setting up a zoom meeting!
You’ll never know if you don’t ask! Hiring a doula can be daunting, but I assure you it’s not as awkward as those yearly Pap smears 🫠 drop your questions below for me!
Titled: What the heck do postpartum doulas do?!
Believe it or not I don’t spend all my time snuggling this cutie when I’m at work! My current clients hired me for 6 weeks and in that time frame I have done the following:
1. Cooked many meals
2. Ran after the toddler
3. Ran errands with my client and baby
4. Dishes
5. Vacuuming
6. Breastfeeding support
7. Diaper changes
8. A listening ear
9. Organized the kitchen cupboards
10. Enjoyed my time with them!
Every doula offers different things so it’s important that as a doula you state what you’re willing to do in the time that you have. Will I organize everyone’s kitchen? Nope. And it’s important for clients to ask what the doulas boundaries are as well so there’s no confusion once baby arrives! I know that everyone loves getting that new shiny baby product, but what if you were gifted with a postpartum doula?! Imagine a world where THAT was the norm and not getting a thousand bottles of baby wash 😊
✨Happy New Year✨ 2023 was challenging as I was just really getting my feet into the water with my doula biz! I cannot thank my mentors and clients enough for trusting and believing in me this past year. 2024 is going to be busy with our move and relocating back to the states. I’ve got loads of goals for this year, but my main goal is becoming a breastfeeding counselor. I pulled the trigger on an awesome training program last month and I’m looking forward to adding that to my daily tasks 😊
For those of you who make resolutions or goals, let me know what they are! Drop them in the comments 👇🏽
My hair is a hot mess but I get to spend the next 4 hours cuddling this cutie and taking care of her momma 🥰 T-minus 10 hours until we’re on a flight to Portugal!
What are your plans for the holiday season?
Looking for a birth or postnatal doula in the new year? I’ve got 2–3 birth spots open and 1-2 postnatal openings in early 2024! Shoot me an email if you’d like to chat, [email protected]. Yours truly will be moving back across the pond come April so book me while you still can!
What do postpartum meals look like? For my current client, we’re doing lots of veggie based soups and stews. The C-Recovery stew from is one of my favorites. Loaded with veggies and high fat items (coconut cream and cashews), paired with some sourdough and butter it’s a hearty meal! I encourage families to either prep meals ahead for the freezer or hire a doula to come in and do some meals for you! Staying nourished is key to recovery and establishing your breastfeeding relationship.
Now let me get back to snuggling this baby 🥰
Nothing better than enjoying the last amazing day of the year than with an adorable baby strapped to you 😍 now we’re in the thick of autumn with rain and a bit of wind! Time to bundle up, folks!
Beautiful day, beautiful baby. Life is grand ❤️
Happy World Breastfeeding Week! I know it’s coming to an end, but I needed to highlight a cause very near and dear to my heart. Whether you breastfed for an hour or a year, pump or bottle feed, milk donations, SNS…(you get my drift)…give yourself a pat on the back because it isn’t always a walk in the park for everyone. The world still has a long ways to go with being breastfeeding friendly but we’re getting there.
I know coming up with a birth plan can be overwhelming, especially when you don't know what your options are. That is why I am now offering this new service! If you're interested please shoot me an email at [email protected] or send me a DM and we'll schedule a call.
Happy Monday everyone! Super close to being finished with this amazing program! I cannot wait to start educating women and families on the physiology of birth 💥 debating whether or not to offer this via an online platform so I can serve my friends and fam in the US as well?
Drop your input below 😊
A few weeks ago I was given the chance to flex my birth doula skills and that experience made me realize how incredibly happy I am with my choice to be in birth-work! Beyond grateful for the opportunity and the growth this afforded me ❤️
*squishy babies are always welcome in my arms lol
I know it’s been awhile since I last posted! 😬 I’ve been busy with website design, potential clients, family and just life lol however, a few weeks ago and I attended the in London! I had a specific goal in mind of finding items that I wanted to endorse for my postnatal gift baskets. I hit the jackpot! Here are some of my favorite items that I picked up:
-The softest muslin squares from
-a plethora of delicious tea bags from
-Tummy/Nipple balm and baby bum balm (just 3 ingredients!) from
-and the cutest baby teething rings/lovey blankets from
I’ll add some of my favorite baby gear products and thoughts of the show at a later date. Which products would you like to try?!
Squealllllll…… look what came in the mail a few days ago! I’m really happy with how these came out and can’t wait to start distributing them 😍
moo.com never lets me down when it comes to business cards! If you’re a texture person like myself, you can’t beat how smooth these cards always feel. I’m a sucker for rounded edges as well…the correlation between rounded edges and pregnant/postpartum bodies isn’t lost on me ❤️
It is absolutely freezing outside here today (-6 this morning), but cycling home from school drop off I was able to spot these beauties 😍 I really didn’t want to leave the house today but I’m glad I did. Nature is exquisite ❤️
Does anybody else struggle to leave the house on really cold days? Aside from school pick up, some days I become a hermit. Living on an aircraft carrier on and off for 4 years ruined my bones during the winter months 😅 at the ripe age off 33.5 my joints ache at the mere thought of cold weather. So, if all you did today was wake up and get dressed, give yourself a pat on the back because you deserve it. SAD also runs rampant during these cold, dark months; cut yourself some slack and try again tomorrow 😊
I’m off to have lunch with a friend and former colleague today, the only reason I “dressed up” lol but it feels nice! What are you doing to make yourself feel good today?!
Doulas aren’t just for pregnant/postpartum people 😉
Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say a giant “Thank you” to everyone who has liked my page! Hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season and enjoying time with friends/family, or taking some much needed time for self! I’ll be back soon with some content 😊
#2022
Last year I went on a journey that I knew would change my life and I was right! I chose to train through because of the amazing reviews, top notch communication and the overall vibe was exactly what I was looking for.
My facilitators and , are two of the most amazing women I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting ❤️ and while it took me longer than I would like to get to this spot, I’m finally doing it and I am so excited for what the new year will hold. Ya girl is a certified birth and postnatal doula!!!
Hello! I’m so happy to finally be here and getting my business started 🥰 I will be doing a live later this week to talk about my journey into doula-hood but for now, enjoy the information that’s coming your way!
