No really.
It's Science!
An oldie but a goodie.
I've developed a little bit of a fascination with signs lately and I'm experimenting with color. Here are a few samples. I'm slowly putting together a collection and will likely offer them for sale in the future.

“So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.
I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.
Both brake lights decided to go out this time.
As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said,
"Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out."
So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.
So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.
He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk.
He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.
So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.
Then worked on the wiring under the dash.
He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.
By the way HE FIXED THEM."
Some said to me, "I don't get why everyone thinks so much of this Keanu Reeves. He's just an actor."
Well, here you go...
Keanu Reeves was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister has leukemia.
And with everything that has happened, Keanu Reeves never misses an opportunity to help people in need. When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants; One cried because he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 and on the same day Keanu deposited the necessary amount in the woman's bank account; He also donated stratospheric sums to hospitals.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery and bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
After winning astronomical sums for the Matrix trilogy, the actor donated more than $50 million to the staff who handled the costumes and special effects - the true heroes of the trilogy, as he called them.
He also gave a Harley-Davidson to each of the stunt doubles. A total expense of several million dollars. And for many successful films, he has even given up 90% of his salary to allow the production to hire other stars.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
Most stars when they make a charitable gesture they declare it to all the media. He has never claimed to be doing charity, he simply does it as a matter of moral principles and not to look better in the eyes of others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought: To be a good person. ❤️

Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, it's official. I received my formal approval for hiring with the CCSD to run the Photography Program at Desert Oasis High School.
So what does that mean for Paul Allen Photography? In short, it means that I will no longer be photographing weddings, other than on very rare occasion. It means that portrait sessions will be exclusive, and it means that I will begin to focus on the Fine Art side of the business.
I will not be shutting down the business, not yet. But I will be rolling into a more exclusive mode for the foreseeable future.
Attention Photographers: SCAM ALERT!
The following is a text conversation I had this morning with "Tracy," Phone Number: 18649999189, Email Address: [email protected]... (typed below verbatim - anything in parentheses is commentary)
Scammer - "Hello this is Tracy how are you doing and i will like to know if you do wedding photographer and do you accept credit card and are you the owner and email me for more details at [email protected]"
Me - "Hello Tracy. Yes, I am a wedding photographer, yes I am the owner, yes I accept credit cards."
Scammer - " Thanks for you reply and i will like to know the distance service you normally accept because my son wedding is coming up on 9th July 2016 and the wedding party is held within the state here in and you will be working for 4 hours and we need the photos in digital files so i will like you to get me the total cost for 4hrs service plus tax and also type of credit card you accept for payment."
(At this point, I'm just little wary. English is obviously not this person's first language, but that's ok. What alerts me is the "type of credit card" section)
Me - "Where, specifically, is the wedding? Also, I'm curious how you got my phone number?" (I'm assuming from Facebook, but anything is possible)
Scammer (9:50am) - "I heard about you on facebook and here is the wedding location Venue...Silver Star Event Center Address 1134 S. Rainbow, Las Vegas, NV." (I checked, the location is legitimate)
Scammer (10:05am) Hello
(At this point I offer my quote for services and talk a bit about my experience and break down the costs, despite a funny feeling about this interaction)
Scammer - "ay. Below is the final break down of the total charges i will be authorizing you to charge on my credit card.
Service (mine) : $ # # .00
Event Planner (Um?): $2900.00
Tips & Gratitude: $80
CC & Transfer Charges (Spidey Sense on Full Alert): $200"
(No response from me as yet)
Scammer - "I am perfectly okay with the total cost does that include processing fee cause I would need you to do me a little favor (Where did the Broken English disappear to? Sure, there's still no punctuation but..) cause I have a little issue with the payment of the event planner told me she didn't have a credit card machine so i will need you to do me the favor (Ok, feeble attempts to return to Broken English) to add her fee together with your fee she has to receive $2900 for the booking of the event planner so i will like you to get back to me with the total cost so that i can make the payment tod"
Me - "I cannot do that. I only process payments to my business.
No further response from the Scammer.
