Marvel Manor, LLC
Quality Senior Care Residential facility for seniors.
We're undergone an incredible transformation this week, thanks to the selfless generosity of a wonderful family! We still have a few days left, but we're thrilled to share our progress so far!
FIRST POSTED APRIL .......
HERE IT IS AUGUST.
NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED ONLY IT GETS WORSE WITH DEPRESSION
======================================================================================================
The staff in the rehab/nursing homes aren't fighting the same battle as the nurses and the doctors in hospitals and clinics, who are bravely fighting against COVID-19 head-on.
Our battle looks a lot different, We’re fighting to protect our residents from the outside world. Fighting to keep Covid-19 from entering into our rehab/nursing homes to keep your loved ones safe. We’re fighting against depression and loneliness due to family and friends unable to visit. We are fighting boredom and increased confusion caused by dementia and isolation from the outside world. We are fighting frustration and fear from family members not being able to visit their loved ones. Families who feel disconnected and fear for their loved ones.
So until this crisis is over, we will dress up in silly costumes and dance up and down the halls. We will give comforting words and do our best to create fun activities that can be done safely. We will hold the iPads, phones, and laptops so family and friends can see and talk to their loved ones who are unable to communicate and reassure them everything is okay. We will help your loved ones get to the glass door or window so you can see each other’s faces and smiles, and we will help with communication as it’s hard to hear each other through a closed window or door. We will wipe tears and give lots of hugs and reassurance as we all get through this together. We will put on smiles even when our heads are pounding and we are fighting worry ourselves. We will do what we can to make sure the outside world stays “outside” and our residents stay safe.

We overdose our residents in love!! 😍
💜The staff in the nursing homes and assisted living aren't fighting the same battle that the other nurses and doctors are fighting against COVID-19. Our battle looks a lot different. We’re fighting to protect our elders from the outside world. We’re fighting against depression and loneliness. We are fighting boredom and confusion caused by dementia and alzheimers. We are fighting frustration of family members not being able to visit and families who feel disconnected and fear for their loved one.
So until this crisis is over, we will give comforting words and do our best to create fun activities that can be done safely. We will hold the iPads and phones so loved ones can see their elder who is unable to communicate and reassure them everything is okay. Staff will visit daily and provide reassurance, pray, sing, or just be there to comfort them. We will put on smiles even when our heads are pounding, we are overwhelmed by all the new regulations and added documentation, and we are fighting worry ourselves. We will do what we can to make sure the outside world stays “outside” and our elders stay safe. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh happy day!! This is a trying time but we are trying to keep everyone’s spirits up! A bond between a father and son ❤️
During this time of crisis, Mental health is so important!! Being about to see someone you love without physical contact is so very difficult but hopefully my residents and families have some mental ease being able to see and talk with their loved ones!! (I had permission from family to post) 😊😊
We miss our families too!!
Our staff are ALL HEROES!!!
Dear Family Members,
The purpose of this letter is to share IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding actions currently being taken at Marvel Manor to address the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Health Emergency that is taking place across the country. Under the guidance of Department of Health and the National Centers for Disease Control, all nursing homes and health care entities are being directed to enhance current policies and procedures that will assist in keeping our most vulnerable populations safe.
· We are not allowing any visitors into the facility.
· Hospice and Home Health Agencies are in close contact with our staff in regards to the needs of our residents. Many situations can be accessed by these agencies via phone or video.
We understand and recognize that these temporary measures may cause some inconvenience or frustration but we ask everyone for their compliance and understanding. Our goal is to keep our residents as safe as possible. If you want to speak to your loved one, we have video conferencing and many other means to keep in contact. Please just call the facility at 702.395.7878 and we connect you into the Facebook Portal, Skype or Facetime.
Additionally, the following measures can be taken to help:
· Please stay home, if you must go out please understand social distancing.
· Wash your hands frequently. Soap and water if they are visibly dirty and hand sanitizer often and in between.
The facility will also be monitoring our staff for illness. At this time all staff is following the orders and only going to work and home. They have minimal exposure. We all understand the importance of these guidelines.
Together, we will try our best to minimize the COVID-19 impact on our residents and operations. We thank you for your cooperation and invite you to bring any concerns or questions to us.
We have a new addition to our home!
