NCGR Las Vegas Stargazers

Please join us for our Tuesday October, 24th ONLINE Presentation as Mark James introduces us to Fixed Stars and Constellations. We are all familiar with the usual cast of planetary characters and points when examining a chart, however, there is a whole universe of other celestial bodies including fixed stars and constellations, which can be incorporated into our astrological analysis. An examination of these heavenly objects is worth the effort as they can provide us with even more insight and clarity. Mark James, will acquaint us with some of the many fixed stars and constellations and demonstrate some basic techniques using them.
Mark James is a practicing Astrologer, Medium, and a member of the NCGR Chapter in Las Vegas; the Las Vegas Stargazers. He has been a member of NCGR since 1996 and has been very active with the Las Vegas chapter having served on the Board in several positions including Chapter president. Which house system do you choose? How do we use multiple house calculations and still create a delineation that is effective? Join us for an exploration of the differences between some of the house systems in use today to help you make an informed decision. We will explore a few of the current popular house systems and discuss how to integrate them into your practice.
Donna Young is a professional astrologer practicing a fusion of traditional and modern techniques. She is immersed in the astrology community at all levels, lecturing locally and internationally, and helps to organize a biennial conference in Alberta, Canada. Her favourite thing (yes, favourite with a "u" because she's a Canadian and uses "proper" English) is getting people excited about astrology, and holds hope that it will one day be understood and accepted broadly enough that it returns to its roots as an essential part of education.

Donna is a graduate of the former Kepler College degree program and a faculty member in the Fundamentals Certificate program. She is delighted to continue to work towards Kepler's mission in her capacity as President.

Believing in the importance of professionalism in astrology, Donna served as an OPA board member, is a peer group leader, a contributing author to The Professional Astrologer, and is OPA’s western Canadian Satellite Representative.

A city dweller for many years, she has returned to her roots in rural Alberta. As a Cree Metis, she is fascinated by indigenous star culture, and gardens using the cycles of the moon as her guide.
