⇩ This weeks focus is discussing different takes on hair extensions:

I worked for an extension company for 8 years and learned a lot about the ins and outs of the business. I had a backstage pass on how difficult it is to be an owner and to supply the best possible quality of hair available. People often ask me why I don’t open an extension company and the answer is easy for me: These companies spend thousands of dollars testing hair trying to find the right manufacturer. Even when you think you have found the right manufacturer, is it a guarantee that they will deliver you the quality you are paying for? These extension companies then entrust their entire business’ success on these manufacturers doing right by them and producing their quality products; praying that they get what they pay for. If not, it could be disastrous for months to come. So with that said I have zero desire to ever own an extension company. So let’s get into it the why’s: ⇩

♡︎ Not all extension companies are created equal!:
This goes for the quality of hair in each and every bag of extension hair. It’s silly to think that every bag of hair will be the exact same quality as the one before. One bag might be the best hair you’ve ever had and the next not so great, even if it’s from the same brand. All kinds of issues arise like different textures to color shifting. It’s honestly the nature of the beast.

♡︎ Test brands and deliver quality results!:
I have tried so many different brands and I tend to stick with just a few, those few companies have amazing quality and are the ones that have great customer service for not only me but my clients. It’s very important to test multiple brands over a period of time to ensure quality control as a stylist to ensure your guests are getting the best quality possible.

♡︎ Extensions are meant to be versatile!:
Don’t limit yourself to one brand. I tend to sway to the companies I feel have the best quality at the moment. Different brands have different textures and color combinations of hair and I want to customize my clients hair to look as natural as possible. Matching the clients hair texture is a must!
