Greetings everyone! My name is Ryan Cardenas-Ichise and I will be filling in for our chapter’s Social Chair position. My mission is to make new members feel welcome and to plan fun events where we can get to know each other better and destress from all the struggles of adulting and schoolwork we college students have to bear. I am a freshman psychology major and a minor in neuroscience and am working toward becoming a counseling psychologist. Here’s a fun fact about me: I play the violin and the piano and love to read and cook in my free time. I look forward to making new friends and helping our chapter flourish!

Hi! My name is Traci Stephens. I am a freshman at UNLV, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies. I would like the position of VP of Social Media because I am organized and able to dedicate the time it takes to keep up with each social media platform for NSCS. Each platform would portray the upcoming events NSCS has with all the information required about each event. Since I already rely on my phone for school-related assignments and communication with others, I would be readily available to answer any questions asked that come through the social media platforms. As for the in-person events, I would be there to take photos and videos of the events, updating each social media platform to reflect the details of the event. I hope that you consider me for this role! It would be my pleasure to be your VP of Social Media! :)

Hello ! My name is Julia Ramirez and I am a pre-nursing major projected to graduate at the end of 2023. I am running for both the Secretary/Star Status Coordinator officer position and PACE chair. I am fairly new to NSCS, but I am excited to become more involved with the organization and to meet more members ! I was raised in Mesquite, NV, which is a small town an hour away from Vegas. I love the desert heat and enjoy staying active–especially outside by swimming, taking walks with my dog, running, and playing sports like soccer, basketball, and football. I also like going to the gym to lift. You can often find me in the library studying or just straight chillin’ watching my favorite anime, One Piece. Two of my favorite hobbies are gardening and reading. I believe these two activities really help me to slow down and breathe while also being to learn more about myself and the world around me. Thank you for reading!

My name is Erich Weese and I study Social Work. I will graduate in May but applied to come back in the fall to get my Master's. I want to be the Vice President of NSCS because of the roles of the Vice President will help me professionally. The more leadership experience I get the better. Plus, I am trying to diversify myself as a leader. Styles and tasks change with different leadership roles. I would lead one way in a services department, a different way while in the military, and change it up while leading a student organization. It helps me build more personal relationships with different majors and expands my network.

Hello everyone! My name is Karla Muneton and I am running for Chapter President for the upcoming 2022 Fall Semester! I am currently the VP of Public Relations and Recruitment and have been a member of NSCS for a little over a year and half. I think our current chapter president Daphne Ng has set a pretty good foundation on how to work as president and I admire her hard work and learned a lot from working with her. As Chapter President, I would continue the work that she started. I will do everything in my power to strengthen the community and provide numerous of opportunities for our scholars to build up their leadership skills, as well as provide them opportunity to be more active and passionate about the community. I will continue to be in my position of VP Public Relations and Recruitment on top of being Chapter President. I want to continue to be hands on with members and be someone for them to rely on, so being in charge of recruitment is something I still want to be responsible for. I will still be as open and welcoming as I always am to new prospective members and will always be a helping hand to my fellow officers. Let’s strive to bring more success to our club for the upcoming semester!
