Friday 🌻 thinking of you all out there on your individual journeys with different hurts and struggles yet lifting your head up each day and turning toward the world. Sending hugs 🫂🫶🏽

For the last 7 years I have solely been cash pay in my private practice and I have always attempted to offer discounts to people when it was needed and be fair as a therapist in private practice. With inflation and so many struggling it feels good ethically for me to now at least be able to offer this to clients that I can accept a few insurances. If you are a former or existing client and you’d like to begin using your insurance if you have one of these insurance providers let me know and we can get you switched over. 🫶🏽💜

If I don’t accept your insurance please remember that I can always offer you a medical superbill to submit to your insurance provider in hopes of getting reimbursed. I of course can still accept HSA and flex spending account cards as well.

My best friend recommended this book to me and this line drove home for me and has me thinking of so many out there in this new year. For many of you 2023 will be the year you will break patterns that threaten to break you. My new years wishes for all of you are to have the courage during the hard moments when it feels like the hardest thing you will ever do. Maybe it will be leaving relationships or habits that are simply hard on your soul, we could call them toxic, sure, but all it really comes down to is if anything in your life takes away from who you are, if it dims your spirit, etc. despite how damaging some things are for us, sometimes we love them still and find it hard to set them down, or turn away or leave. May you break any pattern that threatens to break you.

I’m welcoming the new year with a new schedule and can’t wait to see all of my clients faces when you schedule. Also for the first time in over a year I’ve also opened up some spaces for new clients as well for anyone who may have wanted to schedule for a while.

Happy New Year and can’t wait to walk beside you all while you break any patterns you feel you need to. 🫂💜

Thank you so much to my wonderful clients who’ve always been so loving and supportive. Sharing in the joy of our 2nd sweet girl who joined us this week, missing our first daughter Verity Aurora and celebrating our second, Aura Betty Rose. 🌻 Thank you for understanding that I will be fully embracing this time with my daughter until I return to work in the fall. So thankful that we are both alive and healthy. Sending everyone so much love 🥹💗

Today begins the second “leave” I’m taking in just a little over a years time. I never would have anticipated needing to do so but there have been a lot of unplanned things occur in my life within the last several years, the most devastating being the death of our infant daughter. I’ve done my best to separate what’s occurred for me personally from my professional life on this account while also wanting to be open as to not misrepresent the impact some things can have on a person experiencing what I have. Authenticity matters to me, as does reducing the stigma surrounding grief, child-loss and mental health.

While grateful, I am not happy about going on leave again. I hope to have a different outcome within a few weeks and bring home our second daughter and I will be missing my clients, wishing that the leave I took last year was the only one I’d have to take. The physical and emotional toll of grief, back to back pregnancies and trauma have significantly changed me as a person and I’d do you no service to try and deny that. I’m so thankful that when I returned to work last July in 2021 that most of my clients resumed normal sessions making it possible for me to feel a tad normal again and do the work I love so much focusing on your goals and lives. When I return again in a few months I will not have as much availability but trust we will all figure it out together schedule wise. After today I’ll be spending most of my time on my grief page writing. Thank you for letting me be your therapist and walk the most intimate journeys with you. I’ll still be popping on here when I have something relevant to marriage and family therapy to share and will be holding you all close to my heart. I care for my clients deeply and don’t take for granted what a privilege it is to walk your life paths with you and your families. This isn’t just a job for me and it never has been. Should you have any questions or need any referrals I will always be available to offer support in that way. 💜🙏🏽🥰
