"Geroscience focuses on interventions to mitigate molecular changes associated with aging. Lifestyle modifications, medications, and social factors influence the aging process, yet the complex molecular mechanisms require an in-depth exploration of the epigenetic landscape. The specific epigenetic clock and predictor effects of a vegan diet, compared to an omnivorous diet, remain underexplored despite potential impacts on aging-related outcomes."

This amazing mural is inside the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas. I wish I knew the kindred spirit who designed and painted it! Scroll wayyyy down to the bottom. Today our country faces so many challenges at home and abroad. Sadly the problems in America's food system should be at the top of the list, but it isn't. As I've always said the only way you can know exactly what is in your food is to buy local from local organic and regenerative farmers or GROW YOUR OWN! 🌻🙌👩🌾🍓🍅🥬🫑🍑

Look who is waiting for Farmer Jen to leave so they can go eat my gardens! They will be disappointed because the MUSE Global School - Calabasas food gardens are surrounded by 12 ft solid cemented in fencing with a strong shade cover. Behind 2 heavy gates! This beautiful family of deer 🦌 have lots of greens 🥬 to eat in the Santa Monica Mountains. Not my gardens! 👩🌾🌱
You are beautiful and divinely created - just as you are. Like the 💗🌸🌱👩🌾
Big spring rains are helping me grow big vegetable gardens! Check out what’s growing now at MUSE Global School - Calabasas. This organic food goes straight to our amazing chefs in the kitchen for school lunches. That’s the way it should be 👩🌾🥬🥕🍓🌶️🫛🥒🍅

Bit o’ Irish humor ☘️😉
It blows my mind! It’s about our FOOD. Did you know that the U.S. allows farmers to use dozens of chemicals that are BANNED in Europe? They can cause cancer, neurological problems and hormone disruption. It’s OK take a breath. 🤗 Here’s what to do —
First, a solution on a big scale is regenerative organic farming (not only does it avoid farming with harmful chemicals but the super healthy soil it creates absorbs carbon. This helps the Earth 🌍. Win Win!
Second, you can grow some of your own fruits and veggies! 🥕🥬🌶️🫑🍅. Without harmful chemicals.
For over a decade I’ve been showing folks how to grow their own food. Now I’m digging deeper into Regenerative Agriculture.
Rodale Institute is the #1 leader of education and research on regenerative organic farming.
Last week I had the amazing opportunity to visit their California research farm for the California Small Farm Conference. It was AMAZING!
I could really geek out here - but to keep it simple, they taught all the ways to control pests, bugs, fertilize the crops and all — with NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS on your food.
Growing a small kitchen garden is simple. Msg me for how to start. Then start visiting your local farmers markets. Don’t be shy. Ask the farmers how they grow their food. When you find one that doesn’t use harmful chemicals, buy your veggies from them.
Then keep buying from them. Supporting local organic farmers is good for you! They are changing the planet 🌎 and the health of the American people 🇺🇸.
Are you a farmer that wants to change your methods to use regenerative farming? Rodale Institute will consult with you pro bono to give you all the resources and (keep listening!!!) the grants and funding to help make it happen. Now that’s great news!
2 Days Away! Are you interested in growing food but don’t know where to start? Join Jen and Rick this Thursday, FEB 22, from 8:45 - 10:00 AM for a FREE Workshop at MUSE Global School campus gardens in Calabasas, CA ! Topics will include seed starting, what to grow now and through the year, soil preparation, irrigation techniques and more! Weather will be BEAUTIFUL on Thursday! ☀️ 🥬🍅🥕🥦🫛🍋🍊
Plus, you will receive a tour of our ridge food production gardens and sample some of the vegetables we are growing at MUSE!
We look forward to gardening with you! Grab your spot today by emailing [email protected].
Spring into Spring!

Had to share this amazing experience! “where the community is our classroom”. This week I got help in the gardens at MUSE Global School - Calabasas by the Miller Career and Transition Center. These amazing young adults were the best garden team! I asked them to help me clear big weeds out of 3 garden beds to prepare for Fall planting. They cleared 5! Above and beyond the call of duty! Then I led a walking tour through the vegetable gardens where they took home a big batch of Banana Peppers to enjoy at home along with beautiful bouquet flowers to decorate and add to the gardens at Miller Career Center.
These young adults are building career skills…and are already doing great work in Agriculture!
