The fall semester will start on Sept. 12. We have four teachers again, so adults will divide into two groups - Beginners and those with 'experience' learning German. Welcome back, Frau Wille!!

German School Of Northeast Kansas German Saturday School in Lawrence, KS to foster and preserve German culture and heritage by way of German language in the the Greater Lawrence and Eastern Kansas / Western Missouri area.

Orientation: August 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Bishop Seabury Academy

The German School of Northeast Kansas will hold an orientation for the Fall 2013 semester on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bishop Seabury Academy located at 4120 Clinton Parkway in Lawrence.

The German School of Northeast Kansas provides Saturday classes for both children and adults. Classes are immersion based and taught using games, songs, and other engaging activities -- the curriculum will be more fully described at the orientation. Introduce your children and yourself to a foreign language!

Could be a good idea to practice what was learned in class. Or just have fun with it.

Auslandsschulwesen: Meldungen Die Förderung der Deutschen Auslandschulen war am 19. April Thema im Deutschen Bundestag. Die Abgeordneten berieten in erster Lesung den Gesetzentwurf der Bundesregierung, mit dem die Deutschen Auslandschulen zukunftssicher gefördert werden sollen.

The spring semester finished up on April 27th with our *Maifest*celebration. And a big THANKS goes to the teachers and students for a great semester. BUT it is not to early to plan to enroll yourself or your children for the *fall semester*.

German immersion language classes are held on Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Bishop Seabury Academy in Lawrence, Kansas. Orientation and enrollment will be held on Saturday August 31st at B.S.A. starting at 10 AM. Enrollment continues on the *first day of fall classes - September 7th*. New enrollments are accepted through the third week of classes.

Spring Semester 2013 - Have you registered yet?

Pre-Enrollment and Orientation was on January 19, 2013 from 10 am to 11 am at Bishop Seabury Academy.

The first class of the new semester will be on January 26, 2013
with the Spring session running through May 4, 2013.

Today is day three of our first Summer Adventure Camp and Frau Farrar reports alles fantastisch !

This week Frau Farrar is teaching German to five students and the 10 Kansas teachers in her master class on immersion teaching are observing during the afternoon camp session.

Next week those teachers will be the camp instructors in German.

Here is where you and your student can really help next week. There is still time to enroll for one of the language camps next week at a 50% discount from the published tuition rate ($50 for the week rather than $100). Additional children from the same family are FREE.
