Are streetcars really about transportation, or are they driving something else? 🚋

In cities like Portland, Oregon, streetcars have sparked billions in urban development, but do they deliver on their promise of improved mobility? Dr. Joel Mendez from KU School of Public Affairs and Administration and Dr. Jeffrey Brown from Florida State University explore how these transportation investments might be more about boosting tourism and commercial growth than cutting commute times.

Read more about their fascinating research on the real impact of streetcars in this month's PMC blog: https://hubs.la/Q02NBKrG0
