The Heartland CPM program is the only program that offers a professional, nationally recognized credential to public service employees in Kansas and Missouri. At the end of the 11-month, 300-hour course, which includes your capstone project, you can add CPM to your signature, and you will have earned it!
This course meets two days a month from January - November.
Participants will:
• Develop a stronger understanding of themselves
• Strengthen their leadership skills
• Bring out the best in others
• Inspire creativity and innovation
• Explore public policy, ethics, and performance management

Douglas County staff attended University of Kansas Public Management Center's Inspiring Women in Public Administration conference on Friday in Overland Park. The conference brings together women for a day of inspiration, rejuvenation and camaraderie. It aims to inspire and support women working in public service. These employees work in administration, finance, sustainability and human resources.

Wow wow wow...we are feeling ENERGIZED after Friday's Inspiring Women in Public Administration (IWPA) Conference. This year marked 50 years since the first IWPA took place with two of the initial attendees - Karen Davis & Jan Perkins - contributing to the planning of this year's event.
Our day was packed with engaging presentations, robust conversations, and intentional networking. We look forward to sharing more photos from the event later this week!
