Gwinnett/Walton Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
We build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in the Gwinnett community.
We are thankful for having our partner Assurant out with us to help build James and Candea's house!
We had a great crew of volunteers from Assurant partner with us to help paint the interior of James & Candea's house this past Saturday!
Tameka and her family will soon have a better home and brighter future thanks in part to grant funding provided by Jackson EMC Foundation, funded by the contributions of the cooperative’s members! We were also blessed to welcome a team from Jackson EMC to help with interior painting and door installation!
🚗 In November 2004, the Cars for Homes staff accepted the first vehicle donated to Habitat for Humanity. Now, almost twenty years later, nearly 20,000 vehicles have been donated and more than $82 million has been transferred to Habitat affiliates across the country.
Congratulations to HFH of North Central Georgia, which received the highest amount of revenue from car donations to Habitat in FY24 ($61,933) and has also received the highest amount among Georgia affiliates life-to-date ($336,560). Congratulations, also, to four more Georgia affiliates that have received more than $200K life-to-date: HFH in Atlanta ($283,109), Northwest Metro Atlanta ($262,266), Gwinnett County HFH ($223,741), and HFH DeKalb ($216,245).
Thanks to all affiliates that have worked with us to develop car donations as a sustainable funding resource for your affiliate.
All the best,
Marcia

Originally from Haiti, Lumina and Faustin moved to Georgia to build a hopeful future. Lumina, a dedicated certified nursing assistant, and Faustin plan to continue their education to create even more opportunities for their family.
Their children love spending time outdoors, and now they have a beautiful backyard to play in and make memories.🏠❤️
