3 reasons why your brunette color isn’t blended...

1. You need a gloss.
Unfortunately all hair fades warm. It due to the natural pigment in our hair (aka melanin). This especially happens with brunettes. Sometimes all you need is a nice gloss to make everything look natural and seamless.

2. The wrong technique was used.
This is really dependent on your hair’s history, texture, and what your goals are. A balayage might be a perfect fit for some people, but it may not be right for you.

3. You weren’t root melted. I love root melts, but I think this ESPECIALLY important with brunettes. Adding highlights right to the root rarely looks natural in brunettes. Adding a nice blur is the perfect way to make sure your color looks seamless and natural.

Going gray is rarely an easy process.

It may take multiple sessions and lots of at home hair care, and honestly being a lil high maintenance for a moment until we get you where you need to be. Which may seem a little counterintuitive, but trust me on this process.

No matter what we begin to with there are 2 things that matter to me the most.

1.) the integrity of your hair
2.) that you leave happy and looking good in every stage of your transformation

(it may not always be exactly what we want the first or second time around, sometimes it’s gotta get a little weird first, but no matter what I promise you I’m not letting you walk around with any weird tones going on!)

This was our second sessions today, and honestly I’m amazed we got here. Both sessions lasted about 6-7 hours, going 6-8 weeks between, and even after all that our work is still not done!

Next appointment is all about fine tuning and personalizations, then I think she’ll be fully grayformed!

Ladies with dark hair listen up!

Maybe you relate...You have SUPER dark hair naturally and vou want to be super platinum blonde.

Usually I won't accept this type of service, and here's why:

* Dark hair has the MOST underlying pigment. It is super difficult to lift to clean bright blonde even with virgin hair let alone with hair that has been previously colored. You will likely still be very warm, and 9 times out of 10 I cannot lift you to a level 10, even after multiple sessions.

* This process can be very damaging. You likely will have multiple sessions where it's almost impossible to not occasionally overlap. Do not attempt If you aren't willing to commit to a serious haircare

* I specialize in enhancing what you were given, not trying to force your hair into submission. I'm all about changing and enhancing your look, however my speciality is finding the perfect look for your skin tone, natural hair color, and lifestyle.

It is a SERIOUS commitment. Not just routine maintenance appointments but everything you do with you hair after you leave my chair.

Bridal Trial Season is upon us and we are always so excited this time of year because, we get to finally meet all of you wonderful brides who have chosen us to be a part of your day!

As we prepare to meet you, here are three tips to help you prepare for your Hair & Makeup Trial ✨

1. Bring inspiration! Pictures are so helpful when helping us understand what you love, and what you don't. Also, don't be shy to try something new & fun. You just never know!

2. Arrive with an open heart and mindset that this will be fun!
Trial runs are perfect for talking things through, deciding on styling and makeup details, and making sure you get the look you want on your special day. Consider us your friend that cares, and who will be there for you every step of the way!

3. Arrive picture ready! It's usually really helpful when you wear a soft top (or the color of your dress) and have a little makeup glow (if you are not getting a makeup trial) so that your photos feel as complete as possible. It helps you envision your day look as much as possible. And don't forget to smile! We take lots of photos and videos too!

Here are a few things to try:

•You may want to add some depth to make your blonde pieces pop

•You need your hair refreshed from built up color and product. I recommend detoxing with us at your cut and color appts!

•Ask for a bit of warmth in your gloss formula. A completely ash gloss will actually make your hair appear darker. Warmth = Reflection. Reflection = Brightness!☀️

•Don’t overdue it on the purple shampoo. Over-toned hair will look dull!
