On 10/24/2024, The Lebanon Police Department responded to a shooting on N Woodlawn Ave. Video evidence from multiple locations has been collected. This is an ongoing investigation with numerous subjects facing charges. The investigation will be submitted to the Marion County Grand Jury.
On 09/09/2024, The Lebanon Police Department received numerous reports of a social media post, threatening Marion County Schools. The Lebanon Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and The Kentucky State Police conducted an investigation. A Marion County Juvenile was placed under arrest and transferred to a youth detention center. Thank you for your continued support!
The Lebanon Police Department is needing help identifying this suspect. Wal-Mart Loss & Prevention staff advised the unidentified female was using young children to shoplift for her on 08/10/2024. The suspect left in a white vehicle with a missing front bumper.

The Lebanon Police Department received report of a fraudulent use of a credit card on 02/21/24. The card information was obtained by employees at McDonald’s, in Lebanon KY. Through investigation it was learned that there could potentially be up to fifty victims. As of 02/23, thirty six victims have been identified and will be contacted by Cpl Richerson as soon as possible. If you have experienced fraudulent activity on your debit/credit card within the last month, please contact Cpl Richerson at the Lebanon Police Department. The employees responsible for the theft have been terminated and charges are pending.
The Lebanon Police Department would like to congratulate Ms. Shelia Murrell on her retirement. Ms. Murrell has served the city of Lebanon and Marion County for 45 years as a dispatcher, acting as Chief Dispatcher for many years. She will be greatly missed.

Charles L. Calhoun age 82, was last seen leaving a Marion County residence on 01/09/24 in a red 2001 Ford Explorer tag # 000EMF. He is described as an African American male of medium build with black hair and brown eyes with a mustache and glasses last seen wearing a gray shirt, dark blue jeans, beige cap, beige shoes and no coat. The vehicle was observed in Bardstown via FLOCK camera on 01/09/24. If you have any information on the location of Mr. Calhoun, please contact law enforcement immediately.
The Lebanon Police Department has received numerous calls of vehicles being burglarized. Please remember to remove all unnecessary valuables from your vehicle and lock your doors.

On 07/06/2023, The Lebanon Police Department responded to a call of a man exposing himself to young females at Wal-Mart. After a investigation conducted by Cpl Richerson, Ofc Young and Ofc Gertler. Frederick Tate was placed under arrest.
Charges: Indecent Exposure 1st Deg, Burglary 3rd Deg, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Deg and Alcohol Intoxication in a public place.

Kentucky State Police Investigate Marion County Murder
LEBANON, Ky. (February 16, 2023) - On February 13, 2023, at approximately 11:44 P.M. EST, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15, received a call from Marion County 911. Lebanon Police Department requested investigative assistance regarding finding a deceased female inside a residence on Harrison Street in Lebanon.
KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene and learned Kaitlyn Wise, age 29 of Lebanon, had suffered fatal injuries from apparent gunshot wounds.
Detective Josh Dicken, assisted by other KSP Troopers and Detectives, is continuing the murder investigation.
Anyone with information in regards to this investigation is urged to contact KSP Post 15 in Columbia at (270)-384-4796 or our hotline at (800)-222-5555. Callers may remain anonymous when providing information pertaining to this case.
