This book is a heartfelt tribute to my late friend, Dick Kramer, an artist of unparalleled talent, and his equally incredible wife, Ginny. In the Kramer household, art was the lifeblood that fueled the creation of masterpiece after mesmerizing masterpiece.

Every piece of art by Dick Kramer is a visual spectacle, each one more stunning than the last. His extraordinary artistry ignited my passion and sparked my desire to design custom coins so unique and magnificently crafted that they'd stand out in any collection.

I first encountered Dick's art during my early military career. I was captivated by a pencil illustration so detailed and beautifully designed that it could easily be mistaken for a photograph. From that moment, Dick became my source of inspiration, my mentor. He was renowned in the law enforcement and SWAT communities for his illustrative prowess. The most iconic image ever used by the Marine Corps, a pencil portrait of his son Steve during his service, was one of Dick's creations.

Dick's artistic legacy goes beyond that. He has more art credits in the US Archives than any other artist, past or present. He even painted the mural that President and Mrs. Reagan gifted to the city of Berlin. His influence remains strong, inspiring me every day to continue creating, innovating, and pushing past ordinary.

Between 2010 and 2014, I had the chance to collaborate with Dick on a project for a TACP unit. We transformed his illustration into a coin, marking the beginning of our business agreement to license his work for coin design.

In 2021, I had the privilege of working on an exclusive project with Dick and Ginny. We identified the top 15 most popular pieces of art from Dick's lifetime portfolio and turned them into a 15 commemorative coin series. Each design was carefully crafted to highlight different pieces of art, creating coins that are both visually striking and deeply meaningful.

Each coin is like a tiny time vault of memories connected with the coin. That personal connection is key. For a fundraiser, you want them to WANT to carry it! This connection and meaning are crucial in how the smart coins™ should be marketed from your organization. This is a coin that your organization is encouraging them to carry in your pocket, to be reminded daily of all the great things your charity does. These 2” diameter coins, 3.5mm thick with 3D high relief on both sides, are not just commemorative tokens. They are a tribute to art and legacy of an extraordinary artist.
