"As the Lewiston/Auburn Community continues to recover, we are often navigating the traumatic stress of October 25th and the different impacts that stress brings. Whether we are in hospitality, healthcare, or caring for our families, it is important to be aware of how traumatic stress is showing up for us and be able to identify what we need to support ourselves and others in those activated moments."

Very excited to announce that in partnership with Shine On Cass we will be sponsoring a Youth Bowling “Try Me Week” on September 7th! This will be the week prior to the start of the Fall Session for youth bowling. Youth bowling is held once weekly on Saturday mornings.
We received a generous donation from Shine On Cass to use toward Coach Bobs mission of growing the sport. Please share this to spread the word that all youth bowlers can try that week for FREE! A huge thank you to Monica and the foundation at Shine On Cass for promoting this for the local youth, many of whom have been impacted by the events of October 25th. We are continuing to create a legacy, in THEIR honor. 💜💜
If you are not familiar with Shine On Cass, I encourage you to like and follow their page. The work they have done and continue to do in honor of their daughter is simply amazing. ❤️
If you have any questions regarding the youth league please reach out to: [email protected]

- Dancing with the Dentists Donation: $9,434 to the MRC -
Last night, Ward 5 Lewiston City Councilor Eryn M. Soule-Leclair recognized the incredible efforts and donations made by Maine's Dental Community to the MRC.
"Among the many lessons learned from the October 25th tragedy is that healing and recovery is not one size fits all and that the City of Lewiston is so fortunate to have Maine's dental health community recognize that," Soule-Leclair said. "This past April, Maine's Dentistry community came together for an unforgettable event to raise funds for our Maine Resiliency Center. Hundreds came to watch dentists dance while myself and three others judged the event. It was great fun, and for a moment in time, we were able to smile, laugh, and set aside the tragedy to live vicariously through these talented dentists who can not only tackle tartar, but tango as well. I'd like to thank Dr. Peter Then and Jan Poy Domanti (Director of Continuing Education at Corey + Then Periodontics) for making Dancing with the Dentists happen."
Dr. Peter Then said,
"Thank you for this great opportunity to give back after this terrible event...when I first came to Maine, I moved to Lewiston in 2001 right after 9/11...and I always remembered the community as being hard-working, honest, friendly; welcoming. So, just thank you, as it feel goods just to be able to give back to you."
Jam Poidomani added,
"There's nothing like the sense of community here in Maine. Thank you all for serving your community."
Thank you also to Delta Dental, CareCredit, Aspen Dental, Gorham Savings Bank and Maine Dental Association, as well as Corey + Then Periodontics, The Root Cellar and Mainely Teeth.

Yesterday we learned of the beautiful mandala being created at the Gomes Chapel at Bates College meant to aid in healing our community in the wake of October 25th. The Tibetan Buddhist Nuns will complete the mandala throughout today which is open to the public. There will then be a closing ceremony at 5PM starting at the chapel and ending at the Andrews Lake nearby. Members of our team will be attending the closing ceremony and hope to see you there.
