We celebrated International Mud Day yesterday! We painted with mud and made mud pies. The most memorable days end with the messiest clothes.

Congratulations to Ms. Gloria who is celebrating 10 years at the center this month!

Gloria has taken on several roles at the center and is currently a primary preschool teacher. She creates a safe and educational environment for all the children in her care. We appreciate all that she has done for the center and families!

It was a great week to kick off our water play! We ran through sprinklers, played in the water tables, and jumped in all of the puddles. Water play is not only fun but also beneficial for the children's overall development. Engaging in water play helps children develop their fine and gross motor skills, enhances their sensory experiences, and promotes social interaction.

Art Show 2024 is a wrap! Thank you to everyone that made this year’s art show a success! Every teacher had some part in helping with this event and it showed. We hope everyone enjoyed their time!

Courtney serves our YMCA community as an infant teacher at the Center For Children and keeps herself healthy physically and mentally for that role through regular exercise. 🙌 The secret to her success? The children have been having a blast in the snow this week! From making snow colorful to attempting to make the perfect snowball, we all had fun!

The center’s provider for text messaging is experiencing issues and texts are not going out to families. Please help us share and pass along the center’s 2 hour delay to other families.

The center will have a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 and open at 9:15 am. Check your email for more details.

The Lexington Fire Department visited us this past Friday. They spoke more about fire safety to our two-year-olds. Meeting the firefighters and seeing the firetruck was the highlight of their day! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to visit!

Happy Halloween from our little pumpkins at the Center for Children! We were all dressed up and had a spooktacular day of fun! The older children went next door to Fayette County Public Schools and were able to grab all the goodies. Big thanks to them! The younger children had their own parade throughout the center towards the end of the day. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃
