Happy countdown to Fall Friday ๐
Today, we want to remind you to consider planning time this fall to prune and clean up your flower beds, trees and shrubs. We recommend cleaning up any perennials to tidy up your beds, as well as pruning fruit trees and shrubs. As you clean up, fall is a great time to re-mulch your beds. This way, you avoid having to work around new growth in the spring. We sell several different types of mulch: colored (brown, black or red), double ground hardwood, cedar and pine bark nuggets. *We can deliver.
See the attached graphic for all of the soils we sell per bag. We've broken down the prices and uses for each kind that we carry.
If you have any questions, stop by the farm stand! We are happy to help ๐

Happy countdown to Fall Friday! This week we are excited about our fall flowers. Over the next month, you will see lots of blooming mums and pansies across the Farm stand. Start cleaning our your summer annuals to get excited for these fall flowers. The Asters (purple flowers) have started blooming and are available now. Mums and Pansies will follow over the next several weeks. We also recommend Ornamental Kale to spice up your fall arrangements.
Don't forget we have a wide variety of pots- ceramic, concrete, colors and sizes. And of course, we have Daddy Pete's Potting soil! Don't forget to refresh your soil as necessary.
Did you know we sell pine needles and straw? We sell both fescue and rye straw.
Pine needles (pictured first) are more aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting. Straw typically breaks down faster and adds more organic matter to the soil.
Pine needles are most commonly used for mulching around plants and in flower beds.
Straw can be used for mulching (especially lawns), erosion control, and for animal bedding. Fescue is thinner and a higher quality and is best for lawns. Rye is a thicker type of straw.
This week, weโre still enjoying summer veggies (as well as melons and tomatoes from SC, and peaches)!!
