Sweetgrass Granola
Small batch granola using Kentucky-grown sorghum syrup and organic ingredients! Sweetgrass Granola is breakfast with ideals. I brought home 3 bags of it.
Our granola stands apart as the only one of its kind that uses both sorghum syrup and wildflower honey produced from the regional grasses of Kentucky. We believe that an investment in your local economy is an investment in yourself and your community, not to mention that we think our old Kentucky flavors are the best! Our granola is handcrafted with ingredients grown from nearby farms. While eatin
Another day, another pallet of locally sourced granola 🌱 🥣
SNACK INSPO!
Combine these things and prepare for great things to happen: sliced banana, dark chocolate chips, flax seed, drizzle of nut butter, drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of sea salt, and any flavor of our granola (but Cinnamon Cane is my fav with this combo)
Tried some local Georgian sand in our Wild Pecan Cocoa granola this week. I think we’ll stick with the original recipe.

It’s going to be a big work in progress, so stay tuned for updates on our opening. Our new spot is located right across from the Greyline Station at 808 N. Limestone Street in Lexington. Can’t wait to see you all there!
It’s National Snack Day & what better way to celebrate than heading over to our website and picking up some granola? Kyle and CJ are cooking some up in the kitchen today, so all orders will be extra fresh off the press. —sweetgrassgranola.com

It’s time to unveil a fresh, new look for Sweetgrass Granola! We wanted to embody a blend of tradition and modernity, just like our granola. We will always feel nostalgic about the old logo, but we hope you’ll embrace the evolution of the brand with us as we continue crafting this food with the same love and care it’s been given all along ♥️
Thanks to for all the help with this redesign!
Something exciting is brewing behind the scenes here and we can’t wait to share it with you! But before the big reveal, let’s journey back to where it all began...
Sweetgrass Granola was was born nearly 12 years ago in Berea, KY on the homestead of our friends and founders, Jacob and Carolyn Gahn. Using their passion for whole foods and local agriculture, they crafted a truly one-of-a-kind granola recipe that has stood the test of time. From championing small farmers to reducing the carbon footprint, each batch has echoed a commitment to nourishing food and sustainability.
This brand has grown so much over the years with many trials and errors along the way. Hopefully, the same can be said twelve more years from now! Thank you to all who have supported, believed, and encouraged. Couldn’t do it without ya 🥹 We hope you love the changes we’ve been working on——see you on the flip side!

Sorghum pick up today from the Townsend Sorghum Mill in Jeffersonville, KY! What gives our granola it’s nutritional, unique sweetness? The hard work of farmer Danny Townsend, a 5th generation sorghum producer. After he took over the family business in the mid-80’s, he was instrumental in bringing this incredible crop back from the brink of extinction. Without his dedication, our business may have ceased to ever exist! Support your local farmers, they’re the real heroes 🦸♂️

Hi everyone 👋
It’s been radio silence for the last few years, but we’re still here! A little over ten years ago, our dear friends Jacob and Carolyn Gahn crafted our recipes for this granola in their home kitchen and hit the ground running. Their vision for making nutrient-dense food, supporting local farms, and becoming an important part of the community here in Kentucky flourished into an incredible brand that has served the lives of many farmers, employees and consumers. After employing Kyle for nearly 7 cumulative years, they have passed the torch of ownership to us. We couldn’t be more grateful and excited to continue what they started. Thanks for being here and supporting this important small business.
