Meet one of our incoming MM students to the UNL Clarinet Studio this fall! He writes: “My name is Ajdin Krdzalic and I’m from St. Louis Missouri. I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Music Performance from Truman State University in Kirksville Missouri under the tutelage of Dr. Jesse Krebs. At UNL I plan to go for the Master of Music in Clarinet Performance degree and I really look forward to traveling to a new environment where I can grow as a player and study with a great professor.”

CONGRATULATIONS to Nate Meyer who won the John Shildneck Young Artist Competition this afternoon! As winner of the competition, he will perform Andre Messager’s Solo de Concours with the Lincoln Municipal Band on July 7th at 7pm at the John Shildneck Memorial Bandshell in Atelope Park. Congratulations, Nate! 🎉♥️🎶

CONGRATULATIONS to Emily Rose who successfully defended her doctoral document this afternoon! Her document (An Annotated Bibliography of 45 Select 21st-Century Electroacoustic Pieces for B-flat Soprano Clarinet Suitable for the Undergraduate Clarinetist) will be a wonderful resource for those looking to incorporate this repertoire into their studies and performances. So proud of you, Emily! She will officially be Dr. Rose on Friday, May 17th! Special thanks to her wonderful Supervisory Committee members John Bailey, Anita Breckbill, and Tom Larson for their support and guidance these last 3 years! 🎉🩷🎶🎓

Heather writes: "Hello! My name is Heather Ryan-Christie and I am excited to be joining the UNL Clarinet Studio in the fall. I received my Master of Arts in Clarinet Performance degree from Washington State University where I studied with Dr. Shannon Scott. I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received my Bachelors of Music Education in Instrumental Music from The University of Tulsa, where I studied with Kristi Sturgeon. Outside of music, I enjoy hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the Earth. I am looking forward to completing my academic journey at UNL, and becoming the best musician and teacher I can be!"
