IRS wraps up 2023 Dirty Dozen list; reminds taxpayers and tax pros to be wary of scams and schemes, even after tax season | Internal Revenue Service IR-2023-71, April 5, 2023 — The Internal Revenue Service wrapped up the annual Dirty Dozen list of tax scams for 2023 with a reminder for taxpayers, businesses and tax professionals to watch out for these schemes throughout the year, not just during tax season.

We've discussed a few of these items before, but now we would appreciate if you would comment below which one you find the hardest to understand or most difficult to actually do.

To expand this further, here are some suggestions on how to implement these tips:

1. Keep Track of Expenses (and Income!) - We recommend a bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks.

2. Separate Business and Personal Expenses - The easiest way to do this is to have a separate checking account and credit card for your business.

3. Organize Business Documentation - Instead of keeping a bunch of paper receipts, our preferred option is to store digital images of receipts using a secure storage service like Box or scanning and saving receipts directly to your bookkeeping software, if it allows.

4. Hire a Bookkeeper - Send us a message or give us a call today! We'd love to chat to see if we're a good fit.

We're so excited to announce that starting in December Thrive will be offering a youth class for our younger athletes with . We believe this class will fill quickly, so please note our winter youth session will be limited to 12 athletes on a first-come basis. Below are the session/program details.
Who:
🔹 Ages: 10 - 15
🔹 Athletes looking to gain knowledge, strength, endurance, speed, power, & confidence within a like-minded youth community.
What:
🔹 A program designed to emphasize safety by teaching correct positioning, mechanics, and movement patterns associated with the barbell, dumbbell, and bodyweight.
🔹 Each class is structured with an intentional warm-up, specific instruction (teaching, explaining, & modeling), strength component, and metcon/workout.
When:
🔹 Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm
🔹 Dates: 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 1/3, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31 (8 total classes)
🔹 Athletes must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 sessions
🔹 Registration deadline: Wednesday, 11/29

🔹 Thrive Strength & Training (5331 N. 70th St. #7)
Why:
🔹 The Thrive Youth program is designed with constantly varied, functional movements performed at a high intensity. This in turn increases overall strength and endurance within athletes that crosses into many different areas of sport and life.
