Last but most certainly not least, is a woman who continues to kick ass and take names year after year.
When you google "badass boss women in sports", photos of Destiny Brown are at the top of the results.
I could talk in great detail about how much her friendship has meant to me over the years, and the genuinely amazing person she is, but lets not overlook the glass ceilings she's broken as a young and hungry front office member in the world of indoor football.
Sports have always been stereotyped as a "mans world", and football??
It's considered the "manliest" sport there is.
But there she was as the assistant GM for the Steamwheelers when they came back after a long hiatus and taking the fan experience to new heights.
Then she became the youngest female general manager in indoor football history when she got picked up by the Bucks.
And finally she went back home to Quad City and dropped the "assistant" from her title as she was named GM for the team she calls family.
She is one of the few people that inspire me and that I have the absolute privilege of calling a friend.
She's always been a phone call away, and will reach out just to check in from time to time.
If you're a Steamwheelers fan, you know how much she means to that team and how much that team means to her.
