New barn complete and ready for chicks. A few unique features of this 63'x500' broiler house includes Chore-Time Konavi feeders, windows for natural light and insulated curbs.

The Konavi feed pan has proven to be an excellent feeder. The grill prevents birds from standing in the pan, keeping the feed fresh and available. It is also a simple floor flood design making it very low maintenance.

We are excited to welcome Mark Ebaugh to the team as the new hog salesman for Pennsylvania and surrounding region.

Here is a little more information on Mark and his experience with raising and caring for pigs:

I grew up on a small farm in Delta, Pennsylvania with my two older sisters Cheryl and Linda. My dad Paul, had a grocery store and meat market in Stewartstown, PA. My mother Sharon was an emergency room nurse at memorial hospital in York. We were very active in 4-H and still strongly support the 4-H program. My journey with swine started after my first year of college. I took a summer job at a new indoor swine facility. I was just fascinated with the intelligence and productivity of the animal. I spent the next 8 years on that farm, during which I met my wife, Barbara. We purchased an 800 head farrow to finish hog unit located in Holtwood, PA in 1992.

The following year was a life changer, we were excited that Barb was pregnant with our first child and then I had this lump just swell up on my body, it came so fast I just passed it off as an injury. It turned out to be a cancerous tumor that had spread to lymph nodes.

That chapter in my life ends well because I am still here 31 years later, it was a challenge, but the kindness and help we received from our family and friends, the local community and especially the agricultural community changed my outlook on life. We were blessed with three wonderful children, Emily, Katey and John while owning the Holtwood farm. We sold the farm in 2008 and I worked as a sow serviceman for Keystone mills for almost 2 years, after that I took a manager position at the Swine research center for University of Pennsylvania. I resigned from UPenn in 2014 and leased a swine facility to explore raising high quality meat swine in a very comfortable environment that would be eye appealing to the consumer yet still maintain productivity for the farmer to be profitable. I produced some great designs and want to bring that energy and knowledge to the table.

I am very excited to be a part of the team at Northeast Agri. I bring my lifetime of swine experience but more importantly I bring a heart to serve and to help others be successful.

The PigTek team joined in on NPPC’s webinar with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) as they took questions from producers regarding California’s Prop-12 ruling this past week. Rumors of what the ruling was going to say were plenty and there are still many answers to be worked out. One of the rumors going around was that ESF units and feeding stalls would not be allowed, but our take away from that webinar was those options ARE going to be allowed so long as the sow has free access to move into and out of the feeding unit.

Based on this fact, PigTek is pleased to confirm for you that our Swing-Fix Free Access Gestation Stall Gate, along with the proper square footage per sow, will allow producers to be compliant with Prop-12 guidelines. - Loading & unloading product with the ability to lift and unload 80 lbs.
- Schedule and oversee subcontractor crews.
- Communicate with integrators and crews.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or commensurate experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills required.

- Operate forklift and pallet jack.
