Blood travels through the liver. The liver filters (cleans) the blood, removing toxins and waste that eventually leave the body through urine and f***s. The lobes also contain thousands of lobules (small lobes). These lobules connect with many bile ducts, tubes that transport bile from the liver to the small intestine.
Your liver filters more than a liter of blood every minute which is about 22 gallons of blood per hour and more than 250 gallons of blood in a 24-hour time period.

Dandelion Greens
Fresh or dried dandelion herb is also used as a mild appetite stimulant, and to improve upset stomach. The root of the dandelion plant acts as a mild laxative and has been used to improve digestion. Preliminary research suggests that dandelion may help improve liver and gallbladder function.
It is a powerful cholegogic (stimulates bile production and drainage). As a result, this ubiquitous plant will improve your digestion and prevent leaky gut syndrome. Dandelions reduce inflammation, balance your blood sugar, and lower blood pressure. Dandelions are versatile and nutritious.
There are roughly 100 trillion bacteria in the digestive system alone. It may seem like a tall order to change them, but the good news is that your microbiome can quickly change. Research has shown that within two to four days of eating right, your gut microbiome can change. To heal the gut, most people need to first implement an anti-inflammatory diet.
Eating a plant-based diet that includes fermented foods and fiber from colorful fruits and vegetables.
Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated is a great way to regulate digestion. Drinking lukewarm water has been shown to be good for digestion as well. Also, try eating plenty of foods high in water content. This includes fruits and vegetables like watermelons, tomatoes, lettuce, and celery.
Leafy greens, such as spinach or kale, are excellent sources of fiber, as well as nutrients like folate, vitamin C, vitamin K and vitamin A. Research shows that leafy greens also contain a specific type of sugar that helps fuel growth of healthy gut bacteria.

If you have diabetes, sweet potatoes are a safe option to add to your diet in moderation. Sweet potatoes are known to be high in fiber and have a low glycemic index, which results in a less immediate impact on blood glucose levels. This can help individuals with diabetes control their blood sugar.
Over time, high blood sugar from diabetes can damage blood vessels in the kidneys as well as nephrons so they don't work as well as they should. Many people with diabetes also develop high blood pressure, which can damage kidneys too.
You don’t feed the body proteins, you feed the body what it needs to create proteins.
The liver is one of the most important organs for making proteins. It produces or transforms millions of protein molecules each day. Proteins are made from amino acids.
Proteins are the key working molecules and building blocks in all cells. They are produced in a similar two-step process in all organisms called protein synthesis – DNA is first transcribed into RNA, then RNA is translated into protein.
Our DNA provides the 'recipe book' that cells use to assemble proteins — i.e. which amino acids (letters) to string together, and in what sequence. The 'central dogma' of biology is that information in DNA is translated into proteins through a genetic code.
When we consume excessive amounts of protein, depending on the ease of access to other forms of energy, the body could convert the protein into sugar, stored as fat. When people attempt to increase their protein intake, they often raise their overall calorie intake, which leads to weight gain.
Quinoa based diet stabilizes blood sugar in older adults.
Quinoa is high in iron, manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc, plus it contains high levels of calcium, potassium, and selenium. Overall, quinoa has three to four times more nutrients than brown rice.
Nicknamed a “superfood,” quinoa is a complete source of protein, which means it contains all nine amino acids, and it's also a great source of fiber (it contains more than any other grain) and heart-healthy fats.
Quinoa contains twice as much fibre as other grains (almost 17 to 27g per 100g), and helps cut down the risk of hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. It is rich in copper, iron, magnesium and phosphorus and is a good source of manganese, an antioxidant, which helps manage PMS.
Fenugreek seeds (trigonella foenum graecum) are high in soluble fibre, which helps lower blood sugar by slowing down digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.
Drink fenugreek water the first thing in morning.
Add one tsp of fenugreek seeds in a glass of hot water and let it steep over night. Drink first thing in the morning.
