12 years ago today, I stepped into a new phase of life, not having a clue what I was doing (which is honestly where all the best things start, isn't it?). I had stepped out of the doors of the 9-5 for the last time, and into this entrepreneurial life that I didn't know if I'd love. Ok so I also stepped into a tiny little shoebox of a massage room that I could barely move around the table in, but whatever. 😂

I was new at massage therapy (6 months out of school), and didn't know a thing about having my own business. But what I did have was passion, perseverance, and a partner who believed in me. I wish I could say I never looked back, but I did. I doubted myself many times in those first few years, but I never stopped. My passion pulled me forward.

I designed my website, taught myself a little about SEO, marketing, and cold called previous massage clients from the office I was working out of. I ran specials in local coupon books, and I sat and waited for walk-ins.

What a ride!

What a gift that to this day, my eyes still well up with tears when I think about how blessed I am to have found something I love so dearly. I get to have a career doing something that satisfies me so deeply, while making others' lives better.

If you've ever been a client of mine or shared my business with others, I can't thank you enough. Because of you I get to keep doing what I love and loving what I do. 🧡💛

A couple days ago I was thinking about how I haven't done a Human Design reading in a minute and maybe I should share about it and remind people I do these, because I miss it!

Today, a referral comes in out of nowhere (seemingly) and books a Human Design reading for Tuesday. 🤯 I swear co-creation is WARP speed right now!

I love seeing the uniqueness in each chart and how it comes alive. I love seeing the awe on client's faces as they feel understood on a deep level and can't believe their chart could tell these things about them. So, my day completely cleared tomorrow. If you've heard my lives, you know why. I sound like I'm dying according to Grant. 🤣 I've let my clients know, I took a Covid test (negative), and at this point I feel fine - I just sound bad. Today's clients were fine with coming, but tomorrow's weren't. I've offered to wear a mask for anyone who would feel more comfortable.

August 1st!! I decided today is the BIRTHday of the business re-brand I have been SWOONING over. I know, I know, I've done this a handful of times. And I hesitated for a hot second, wondering if I'll seem "flaky." But by now I know the truth - I know this is how my energy works and it's part of my growth process. And I don't actually need anyone to understand that but me. I honor my energy and keep taking the next aligned step. And to me, this keeps life interesting. 🙂 The past versions of this change felt like experiments in trying on different things to see what fit, and this version feels like I finally found the thing that fits like a glove. (A silk glove, because, I speak the language of sensation. ✨)

I took inventory of my experience. 13 years of working with humans, with bodies, and learning myself and my business from the inside out. What I realized in reflecting on these years is that nearly everything I've done comes back to one truth - the body is the foundation. Our body is the space where our dreams are seeded, where our heart and soul live. It is the BEDROCK for everything we wish to create in our lives. When we feel lost, our body is the place we come back home to find ourselves. We deepen our understanding of self through the innate wisdom of the body. This is wisdom that no other outside source could provide.

Even when I didn't consciously "know" it, this is what my business has been about, always. I think that's partly why massage felt so special to me. My inner wisdom knew it was more than just rubbing muscles. Softening into the body allows us access to heart and soul. At times I can literally see the physical change of "lightness" in a person's body. A sparkle in their eyes that wasn't there before. Eventually I learned how to facilitate this kind of change through combining both bodywork and powerful conversation, taking the transformation deeper. Giving voice to the body is where the magic is at.

So this re-brand feels like honoring the skills I've developed and things I've learned, and the way my business has expanded. It feels like a new level of consciousness. And it feels like a calling into something higher - for both me and my clients. It feels like something I can grow into and come back home to again and again. A reminder of my mission. I see Bedrock Body as a lifestyle, a way of being. A reminder of our wholeness and interconnectedness with self, each other, and life itself.

I've known it for a long time.

Energy is the foundation of everything.

I think it's why I took that first Reiki class in 2016. And it's why energy work has called me back again and again, in different ways each time. ⚡

I've embodied this truth WAY deeper over the past several months, and I'm ready. Ready to share what I've learned and integrated with those who are ready too.

I was called back to a deeper level of Reiki when my mentor did a healing experience with Holy Fire Reiki. ❤️‍🔥 At that time I didn't even know she was using Holy Fire! But I knew the experience felt different. When I found out it was Holy Fire, I knew I needed it. I took Holy Fire 1&2 and had a full body knowing that things were about to shift in a big way. Immediately after 1 & 2, I went right to Master level training.

SOOOO much has shifted since that decision. Blocks have dissolved. Walls have come down. New opportunities have opened up (hey frequency healing, hey! 👋). I'm making bold moves as opposed to coasting or being stagnant. I'm helping people in a greater capacity. Fear is not running the show - I'm moving with it.
I'm teaching Holy Fire Reiki 1+2 on March 23rd. If you're on the waitlist, details are comin' in hot this morning!

Also, I'm starting another round of Harmonize Your Vibe on March 26th.
