all she wanted was a “pretty cake, and for it to be chocolate cake, with a chocolate ganache filling and fresh strawberries.
we grabbed brunch at with some primas so she can have her fave chicken & waffles then we came back home. She spent the rest of the evening hanging out with her friends & a water slide in the front yard.

I was stressed but also super proud of the way they turned out. The lemons, the little onesie, the hand painted details of the tiles 🥰

I have been looking for a new job + trying to decide my next move with Sweet Eats.
After a ton of back and forth I have decided that my business will continue to be a side hustle for now.
My “hustle battery” is drained 🪫and even with all the breaks and time off I’ve taken it hasn’t been enough to recharge it.
I’m rethinking my business strategies and downsizing my collection of baking things.

It started off as the best way to show people that even though I couldn’t afford to buy them a gift I could pour some love into a cake.
Who doesn’t love cake? 🧁
Were they looking their best? Meh, the best they could when I was using canned frosting from my local grocery store.
I didn’t decide to start selling cakes until I knew I could be proud with the end result. 😅
Sometimes I still doubt the look, the texture, the taste.
But then so many of you have trusted me to bring something sweet into your life and continue to trust me.
And for that I’m always grateful.
