are much easier to accomplish if you write them down and set a deadline!
Embrace the importance of sleep! Countless studies have demonstrated sleep’s crucial role in maintaining memory and focus. Make sure you’re getting at least 8.5–9.5 hours of sleep per night, especially leading up to and throughout finals week!
Slow down and take a breath. What's one thing you're for today? Share your thoughts in the comments.
At least a week before your final exams, write out a detailed schedule for when you’re going to study which subjects throughout the week. In your planner or calendar, block out a two-hour study period for every day leading up to finals. Within each of these blocks, devote half the time to one of your more difficult subjects, and the other half to a less intimidating one. By splitting each of your study blocks into two subject-specific periods, you’ll encounter every subject multiple times throughout the week, increasing your brain’s memory retention.
This summer we are offering mini-courses to encourage authentic learning and meaningful engagement. Our summer mini-courses are perfect learning additions to promote engaged learning, critical thinking, and cognitive flexibility. Along with our writing workshops, test preparation, and college counseling, all mini-courses are available virtually – students can work with us from anywhere. We can customize any mini-course or workshop and have happily done so for students and families around the world.

Study groups can help you learn the content in a deeper and more concrete way. As finals week approaches think about forming a study group with classmates from each of your core subjects.

Kids need less academic pressure and more support after a year of isolation and learning losses Less-stringent academic expectations can help parents breathe a little easier — and they're better for kids' mental health, too, experts say.

Re-reading texts or notes is not studying. Instead actively engage in the material by quizzing yourself or have a study partner ask you questions about the content you are learning.
At , we see the benefits when students write down all their assignments and activities in a paper planner. For many students, this simple habit not only helps them stay organized, but also relieves stress.
